Norwalk, was arrested and
charged with Criminal
Mischief 4th Degree and
Possession of Drug Para-
phernalia. Subject was
processed and transported
to the Warren County Jail.
December 13
Officers were notified
of a Juvenile rtmaway. In-
formation was taken and a
report filed. The juvenile
subject later returned
home and the case was
closed.

Officer notified of a
Drug/Narcotic violation in
the 1200 block of North

69, Todd Vachon, 41, Nor-
walk, was arrested for
OWI 1st.
ACCIDENTS
December 19 - 6:20
p.m.: Received multiple
calls from public referenc-
ing a white passenger car
traveling southbound in
the northbound lanes of
Hwy 65/69 from the Hwy
5 bypass. Maggie Cross,
27, Indianola, was travel-
ing northbound in the 3000
block of Hwy 65/69. Jo
Wahl, 74, Pleasantville,
still traveling southbound
in the northbound lanes.
Cross avoids head-on col-
lision with Wahl by swerv-
ing into right ditch area
causing damage to Cross's
vehicle. Cross uninjured
and refused rescue. Wahl
did not stop and contin-
ued southbound, eventu-
ally crossing over into the
correct lanes around
ScotchRidge Road nearly
hitting another vehicle.
Wahl eventually stopped
by law enforcement in In-
dianola after Deputy
Ohlinger locates the vehi-
cle and observes very poor
driving by Wahl. Wahl did
not stop for a marked
Sheriff's patrol unit with
activated LED lights and
siren. Deputy Ohlinger re-
sorted to pulling in front
of Wahl and stopping to
avoid Wahl from further
travel on the roadway. Af-
ter conversing with depu-
ties Hundertmark and
Ohlinger, Wahl is trans-
ported to Mercy Hospital
in Des Moines for further
evaluation.
