Living Christmas Tree at Fellowship Church
By Jenni Whitaker
Fellowship Community Church and the community of Norwalk celebrated
Christmas together during 4 special services on December 23rd & 24th. The 21-
foot tall Living Christmas Tree structure held the Christmas Choir, leading
everyone in carols and songs of the season. The celebration also included a special
interactive children's focus - an interview with Joseph & Mary with a real donkey.
Many enjoyed hot cocoa together and getting their family photo taken following
the service.
If you got your family photo taken and still need to find it, please visit the

Winter Community Trout Stocking
Starts Saturday
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will release trout in seven locations
around Iowa this winter in areas that would not support them during warmer
months. These winter stockings are a great place to take kids to catch their first
fish. A family friendly event is paired with most of the stockings to help anglers
have success and fun while fishing.
The popular program is supported by the sales of the trout fee. Anglers need
a valid fishing license and pay the trout fee to fish for or possess trout. The daily
limit is five trout per licensed angler with a possession limit of ten. Children age
15 or younger can fish for trout with a properly licensed adult, but they must
limit their catch to one daily limit. The child can purchase a trout fee which will
allow them to catch their own limit.
Winter stocking events are dependent on favorable weather and ice conditions.
Check the DNR Trout Fishing website at www.iowadnr.gov/trout for possible
changes. The 2019 Winter Community Trout Stocking Schedule is as follows:
January 12th, Blue Pit, Mason City, 11:00 a.m.; January 12th, Bacon Creek,
