Four Carlisle World

Quilts of Valor in Decem-
ber 2015 from members of
the Warren County
Piecemakers Quilt Guild
and volunteers for the
Quilts of Valor Founda-

American Legion Post 319.
Marvin Grace, Adjutant
from Post 319, had previ-
ously expressed to the vet-
erans that they had an-
swered the Nation's call to
service, whether it was in
harm's way, supporting
those in harm's way or
helping to restore stability
after hostile action. The
quilts were awarded to
honor andtthank those
who answered the call to
service.
The recipients were told
on the back of each quilt is
a label that denotes it as an
official "Quilt of Valor".
The label includes the
veteran's name, date it was
awarded and a dedication
which reads "In grateful
appreciation of your
World War II service to the
United States of America.
Thank you."
Surrounded by fellow
veterans, family and
friends, quilts were
awarded to Allen Bruce
and Glenn L Meacham.
