Garden Club
The January meeting of

lunch follows the meeting

4-H Foundation Soup Supper
The Warren County 4-H Foundation will be holding
a soup supper fundraiser Saturday, Jan. 24, from 4-7 p.m.
at the American Legion Hall in Indianola.
The Warren County 4-H Foundation was founded in
October of 2014 by Warren County 4-H volunteers as a
way to accrue and maintain funding for local 4-H com-
munity clubs. The soup fundraiser will feature three
kinds of soup plus homemade cinnamon rolls. A free-
will donation will be accepted. Money from the
fundraiser will finance scholarships, grants, educational
workshops and other 4-H related events in Warren
County.
Warren County 4-H has one of the top 10 highest
enrollments of all 99 counties in the state of Iowa. Youth
involved are encouraged to explore topics in science,
leadership, communication and healthy living. The 4-
H program is designed to empower youth to reach their
full potential through youth-adult partnerships and re-
search-based experiences.

Harvest Church Cumming is excited to announce the recent commissioning and
installation of Pastor Thomas Cackler. SundaD Jan. 11, elders from Harvest and from
Waukee Community Church prayed for Pastor Thomas as he officially began his
ministry in Cumming after officially accepting the position as pastor last year.
Included in the service was a video greeting from Pastor David Brooks of Waukee
Community Church where Pastor Thomas previously served as Elder. "I met Tho-
mas about eight years ago. I discovered that Thomas is a man who is faithful, who is
dedicated and who is hardworking. It's fun for me to see him arrive at this place
today."
"What is exciting for me," Pastor Thomas shared, "is that I get to share this day
with both of my new and old church families. I didn't just come to Harvest, I was
sent by Waukee Community Church and it is important that both groups of people
whom I love dearly are part of this day. But most of all, I am excited to see what God
is going to do next."
Harvest Church meets each Sunday at 10 a.m. and is located at 4225 N. Birch
