OBITUARY
DAVE LOREN CHAPMAN
Dave Loren Chapman,
66, Norwalk, died Wednes-
day, Jan. 16, at home from
complications of heart fail-
o ure and cancer. A memo-
-rial service was held at
Brooks University Chapel
in Clive Monda Jan. 21;
burial was in Osceola.
Mr. Chapman was
born October 28, 1946 in
Des Moines to John and
Frances Chapman. He
grew up m Beaverdale,
graduated from Roosevelt
High School in 1964 and
attended college at Par-
sons, Grand View and
Simpson. After college, he
began working for Sears,
where later he met his
wife Karefi, whom he
married in April, 1977.
Mr. Chapman enjoyed
playing football and bas-
ketball, being outdoors,
boating, taking drives,
spending time with his
family and watching Iowa
Hawkeyes. He will be re-
membered for his great
storytelling abilities and
his devotion to his family.
Survivors include his
wife Karen of Norwalk;
daughters, Karl (Travis)

BETrY WATERS
Services were held Saturday, Jan. 19, in Melcher-Dal-
las for Betty Waters, 80, of Melcher-Dallas. Interment
was at the Gosport Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Waters; children,
Michele (Gaylon) Peterson of Cumming, Robert (Pare)
Waters of Des Moines and Darwin "Scott" (Tammy)
Waters of Harvey; two grandchildren, Nick and Jack;
and siblings, Barbara (Roger) Kelsheimer and Marvin
(Fonda) Bingham; nieces and nephews. Memorials may
be made in care of Legacy Lodge, Cirde of Friends Home
Care or the Melcher-Dallas Rescue Unit.

etery for Jesse .L. Spencer,
70, who died Monday, Jan.
14, at his home in Nor-
walk.
Survivors include his

CASSANDRA MARIE LYNCH
Services were held Monday, Jan. 21, in Des Moines
for Cassandra Marie Lynch, 20, Des Moines, who died
suddenly Tuesda Jan. 15.
Ms. Lynch was born in Des Moines to Rick Wayne
Lynch and Joan Marie Schoborg. Growing up, she lived
with her family in Des Moines and Norwalk, graduat-
ing from Des Moines's East High School in 2010.
Survivors include the loves of her life, her fiancr,
Scott Van Ahn, and her son, Jonah Wayne Lynch. Also
her parents, Joan (Michael) Schoborg and Rick (Rebecca
Rodgers) Lynch; her brothers, Garrison Wayne Lynch
and Jarron Taylor Lynch; step-sister, Natasha Deanna
Schoborg; grandmothers, Sandra Richman and Lynne
Lynch; grandfather, Jerry Lynch and many aunts,
uncles and cousins.
Memorials may be made to her family to be used
towards Jonah's education.

LORRAINE SUK
Graveside memorial services are pending with
burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL for
Lorraine Suk, 92, a longtime resident of Norwalk who
moved to San Antonio, TX two years ago. She died Sun-
day, Jan. 13, in San Antonio.
Mrs. Suk was preceded in death by her husband,
George; a son, David and a grandson, James.
Survivors include a son, Thomas (Barbara) Suk of
San Antonio, TX; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Suk of
Marshalltown; three grandsons, John Suk of San Anto-
nio, TX, Matthew Suk of Ankeny and Nathan Suk of
Marshalltown and four great-grandsons and a great-
granddaughter.

MICHAEL JOHN KENDALL, SR.
Michael Kendall, 68,
Cumming, died Wednes-
day, Jan. 9, at Methodist
Hospital. Funeral services
were Monday, Jan. 14, with
burial at St. John's Cem-
etery in Cumming.
Mr. Kendall was born
December 21, 1944 to John
and Emma Kendall. He
had a great love for his
family, fishing, hunting
and the great outdoors. He
will be greatly missed by
all who knew him.
Survivors include his
wife of 45 years, Annette;
sons, Michael, Jr. (Corri),
Jason (Nichelle) and
Jeffery (Denise); five grand-
children; sisters, Dixie
Dudley and Mavis Kett-
