The Norwalk Warrior
Wrestling team attended
the Allie Morrison Dual
Tournament in Marshall-
town Saturda Jan. 5. In
the first dual of the day,
our Warriors wrestled
against the Blue Demons
from Albia. In this dual,
our team won four for-
feited rounds giving
Norwalk a nice, easy 24
points earned by Michael
Riordan (106), Chase Fouts
(113), Erich Voitel (195)
and Zach Swanson (220)
just for showing up.
Jake Kestel (285) wrestled
the first match of the dual
that ended in a decisioned
victory for Tim Cole of
Albia. Following Kestel, we
had two of the four forfeited
rounds in favor of Norwalk
happen. Then we watched
Warrior Kenny Onstot
(120) wrestle Blue Demon
Shadow Leshen. The match
ended with Leshen secur-
ing a fall over Onstot. Zach
Johnston (126) and Dominic
Debban (132) lost two

decisioned matches fol-
lowing Onstot, which put
the team scores after
Debban's match at Nor-
walk 12, Albia 21.
Up next came Austin
Pierangeli (138) for the
Warriors who wrestled
hard and won a decisioned
match over Caleb White
for the Demons. The next
two Albia Demons were
able to secure falls for their
team over our Warriors
Jessie Cowie (145) and
Casey Rudolf (152). Fol-
lowing thee two falls,
Albia's Brett Leshen won
a major decisioned match
against our Dusten Saltz
(160). This brings our dual
team scores to Norwalk
15, Albia 37. Our Warriors
are having a tough time
against this Blue Demon
team.
Nathan Johnston (170)
came out next and won the
Warriors six more points
securing a fall against Joe
Sagar from Albia, quickly
followed by Onstot (182)
winning a decisioned
match against Christian
Summers. The last two
matches were the other
two forfeited matches in
favor of Norwalk, which
gives us a final dual team
score of Norwalk 36, Albia
37. Phew! We almost
caught them!
I am going to summa-
rize, as best I can, the next
four duals in an effort to
make sure I can get the re-
sults of our Ballard meet
posted for everyone. The
second dual brought the
Norwalk Warriors head
to head with the Johnston
Dragons. This dual began
with our 106-pounder,
Riordan against Henry
Pohlmeyer of the Dragons.
The match ended in a ma-
jor decisioned, four team
pint, victory for PohI-
meyer. Next Travis Price
secured a fall for the Drag-
ons against Dylan De-
Freece (113). Another fall
was secured for the
Johnston team at the 120-
pounder weight class be-
tween Chase Fouts from
