Norwalk Tire and Auto
Has New Manager
Mike Perry of Norwalk Tire and Auto, 1010 Sunset
Dr., has announced that Matt Dunfee is the manager of
the store. Dunfee joined the business in January and has
experience as a service manager, previously with
Goodyear. He is a graduate of Drake University.
In his spare time Dunfee teaches guitar and piano
and is a member of a local band.
Norwalk Tire and Auto offers the community com-
plete auto repair and commercial and fleet accounts are
welcome. In addition to automobile repair they offer
Yokohama tires and tire service. Dunfee invites the com-
munity to visit Norwalk Tire and Auto and be sure and
ask for the Manager's Special.
MAYOR'S MOMENT
Concluded from p.1
and dedicated men and women who accomplish an in-
ordinate amount of training and sacrifice a lot of their
own time to be able to respond to the myriad of emer-
gencies that they may face.
Anyway, back to the Town Hall Meeting - besides
the award ceremony, we presented information on three
areas: an update on some of our Capital Improvement
Program projects, the impact of the upcoming Des
Moines water rate increase and Norwalk's FY 11/12 bud-
get. Even though the attendance was small, it is good to
provide the citizens of Norwalk an opportunity to see
and hear the key issues facing us.
The meeting was held at Christ Our Savior Lutheran
Church which is for sale. Because it does have a gymna-
sium, sits on 7.5 acres and is located on Highway 28/
Sunset Drive, it does provide the City an opportunity
to acquire a "poor man's recreation center." We are in
the process of discussing the pros and cons of purchas-
ing this property and making it a recreation/commu-
nity center. We will keep you all informed as we con-
sider this potential opportunity.
