Announcement has been made of the engagement
and approaching marriage of April M. Barkley, daugh-
ter of Paula Barkley, Des Moines, to Glen E. Brown of
Norwalk. He is the son of Judy and George Brown of
Bellevue, NE.
Miss Barkley is a graduate of Lincoln High School
and Drake University, both in Des Moines. She is em-
ployed by Drake University.
Mr. Brown is a graduate of Bellevue East High School
in Bellevue, NE and the University of Nebraska in Lin-
coln. He is employed by Principal Financial Group.
A wedding is planned for June of this year.

Long-time Norwalk residents Rick and Miriam Cox
will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday,
Feb. 14.
The couples children, Tim Cox and Cyndi King and

Kyle Glenn Thrap and Danyelle Marie Hoyka
Dan and Patina Hoyka, Norwalk, have announced
the engagement and approaching marriage of their
daughter, Danyelle Marie, to Kyle Glenn Thrap, son of
Kenny and Becky Thrap, also of Norwalk.
Miss Hoyka graduated from Norwalk High School
in 2007. She is currently employed at U.S. Bank and at-
tends Des Moines Area Community College.
Mr. Thrap also graduated from Norwalk High School
in 2007. He is employed at Best Buy and attends Des
Moines Area Community College.
A May 29 wedding is being planned.
