You can mail registration forms, place them in our drop box or walk in. Our office is located at 1100 Chatham Ave. (Public Safety Bldg.). Of- fice hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. The drop box is open 24/7! If you have any questions, call us at 981-9206. Online registration is available. (See website: www.ci.norwalk.ia, us). RECEIVES GRANT The Norwalk Parks and Recreation Department was the recipient of $250 for their Scholarship Fund from MidAmerican Energy Gas Company. The scholarship fund was established for children in our community who would like to participate in activities that wouldn't normally be able to financially. We are very apprecia- tive for the donation. Participants will be introduced to the sport of soccer and will be taught the basic fundamentals of dribbling, passing and shooting. Shin guards are re- quired for this program. Shin guards are required. This is a six-week program including two weeks of practice and four weeks of games. Divisions: 1st & 2nd Grade Boys - 4 vs. 4 play on Monday and Thursday; 1st & 2nd Each week teams will be assigned for those who show up and we will have a little competition. This program will continue until March. (Will take off during the holi- days), Place: Norwalk Public Safety Bldg; Time: Thurs- days, 1:30-3 p.m. WELL-SEASONED POTLUCK (The meat as well as the people) All are invited, age 55 or older, to attend a potluck dinner to enjoy and socialize with :the Parks and Recre- ation staff. After the meal we will have some form of entertainment from local talent. Let us know your email address and we will send out reminders with what meat we plan to have on that day.
