Meet in the computer area be- fore the library opens to the public. Pre-register at the front desk. Tuesday, Feb. 12 Job Search @ Your Library, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Library Assistants will help patrons with questions and even schedule one-on-one tutoring between 10 a.m. and noon, every Tuesday until June, in the computer area of the library. Pre-School Story Time, 10:30-11 a.m. For 3-6 year- olds, join us for stories, finger plays, songs and flannel boards! Parents, expect some interaction with your little ones and some helpful tips on early literacy skills you can use at home. This stOrytime is also a good fit for parents attending with several children and for daycare groups. Novel Year Book Club, 6-8 p.m. Extension activity based upon The Shipping News by Annie Proulx. This bi-monthly adult book club Consists of three sessions, including a book discussion and extension activities such as films, speakers or social events related to the text. Wednesday, Feb. 13 Wee Ones Story Time, 10:30-11 a.m. For infants to 18 months, join us for lapsit stories, finger plays and songs! They were also judged on their knife skills, knowledge of vegetables, fruits, herbs, cuts of meat and kitchen utensils. Part of their prize was a tour of the Test Kitchens for the Better Homes and Gardens Magazine at Meredith Publishing Company. They learned how the magazine selects their recipes, the process of figuring out the best ingredients, nutrition content and how they take pictures of the finished dish. Nicole Alexander Norwalk 4-H All Stars The regular meeting of the Norwalk 4-H All Stars was held January 13, 2013 at the Norwalk Public Li- brary.' The meeting was called to order by Presi- dent Alex Bennett. Tristan Duncan led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was answered by 14 members stating their favorite Disney char- acter. Nicole Alexander read the minutes from the December meeting. The treasurer report was given by Courtney Johnson. Courtney also read the county newsletter. For Old Business mem- bers brought personal care items for Children & Fami- lies of Iowa. Club Members took Christmas ornaments to the Norwalk Nursing home in December. New Business: Summer Camps were discussed. Trip scholarship money is available for the first few individuals who sign up with the extension office. Courtney Johnson made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Vanessa Hautekeete seconded it. Nicole Alexander led the 4- H Pledge. Nicole Alexander did a demonstration on - Brownie Mix in a jar.
