Norwalk Swimmers Excel at CIML Metro

Eight Norwalk students who participate on the Lincoln High School Men's
Swim Team had outstanding performances at the Central Iowa Metro League
Championship Swim Meet on January 21st, 2019, where over 120 swimmers
competed. The Rails came up a little short for the Championship in a hard fought
meet. Final Scores: Roosevelt - 471, Lincoln - 417, East - 432, Ottumwa - 317,
Hoover/North- 136
The majority of the Rails were fully tapered for the Conference Championship
Meet, making it their last meet of the season. The top six finishers in the Varsity
races earned podium recognition. Overall, the Rails earned 13 individual podium
finishes and 3 relay podium finishes with one of the three relays finishing first.
Five Norwalk students earned varsity podium recognition for their races. Results
for the Norwalk swimmers are as follows:

This information was obtained directly from
the Norwalk Police Department.
Disclaimer: All defendants are innocent
until proven guilty in a court of law.
January 25th
Barred Driver:- 2900 block Sunset Drive. Andrew
Wagemann, Clive, was arrested and charged with
Driving While License Barred and No Insurance.
Subject was processed and transported to the Warren
County jail.
January 28th
Hit and Run Vehicle Crash - 1900 block Cedar St.
Vehicle owned by Wane Miller, Norwalk, was struck
while parked in a private parking lot. Information
was taken and a report forwarded to the Iowa
Department of Transportation.
Fraud- 1300 block Warrior Run. Resident reported
a fraudulent charge on his bank account. He is
working with the vendor to be reimbursed for the
charge. Information was taken and a report made.
January 30th.
Shoplifting - 500 block North Avenue. Rebecca
White, Indianola, was arrested and charged witK
Theft 5th Degree Subject was processed and cited
to appear at a later time.
January 31st
Vehicle Crash - 600 block Beardsley. Officers
located a mailbox that had been struck by a vehicle
and damaged. Carla Baril, Norwalk, was cited for
leaving the scene of an accident. Report made.
