O'Leary's New Programs
O'Leary Celebration of Life Center has exciting
news for 2018! The number of families we serve
continues to graw each year, and we strive to offer
services for families in the weeks and months after
the funeral along with programs for the general
public.
We have reviewed and evaluated our support
programs, and we are pleased to announce that we
have added new programs and will continue to host
the most popular programs from previous years.
O'Leary grief services include books and resources
for both children and adults, support groups,
informational groups and one-on-one private
appointments for grief information and support. Staff
is also available to speak to groups of all ages on topics
that include death, dying, grief and loss, end of life
issues, funeral planning and the many options
available when planning a memorial service or
funeral.
For more information on any of the programs, to
arrange for a speaker, or to schedule a one-on-one
appointment, please call Jeanne at 981-0700 or email
Jeanne@olearyfs.com. Information will be published
in this newspaper, will be available on the O'Leary
website and Facebook page. It's always a good idea
to check those sources or call to confirm the dates
and times each month.
GRIEF SERIES--The O'Leary Three-Week Grief
Series is designed for people who have recently lost
a loved one. The program will help you understand
grief and loss, and offer ideas on ways to adapt to
your world without your loved one. This program is
offered in March and October.
ARCHER--Archer is a follow up to the Grief Series
for those who want a few more sessions to help them
move forward in their new life. Archer is offered in
April and November.
MERRY WIDOWS-- Has your spouse died? Would
you like to get together with others in a similar
situation? Join us for this informal group as we enjoy
a meal and conversation. Dates and times vary, so
call for details.
GRIEF GROUP--This popular group meets
monthly, and offers insight and information for those
recovering from the loss of a family member or friend.
It is a safe, non-judgmental and confidential time to
share (if you choose to share), learn, and receive
support. We meet on the fourth Wednesday of the
month at 6:30 p.m. at O'Leary's.
LUNCH AND LEARN--O'Leary's will offer two
lunch and learn programs. Everyone is invited to a
free lunch and short program. The first lunch and
learn will be Wednesday, April 18 and the second
program will be held in October. The April discussion
will be "I'm Dead, Now What?" It will include
information on funeral planning and the many
decisions that must be made quickly when someone
dies.
MEMORIAL SERVICE--The O'Leary Memorial
Service honors those we have served in the past year.
The 2018 Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June
3rd at 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
TURKEY, TINSEL AND TEARS--This very
special group offers information for families who are
facing holidays for the first time without a loved one
present. Attendees will get information on planning
for the holidays and ideas to find moments of joy while
experiencing the pain of grief. The 2018 program will
be held on Sunday, November 4th at 1:00 p.m.
