To be eligible, a student must have earned a 4.0 grade point average. The following Norwalk area students were named to the Fall 2014 semester Dean's List at the Univer- sity of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. To be included on the list, a student must have earned a grade point of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, while taking at least 12 hours of graded work dur- ing the semester. Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo has announced the Dean's List for the Fall Semester. The Dean's List is official rec- ognition of outstanding academic accomplishment by full-time students. To make the Dean's List, an individual must be a full- time student and success- fully complete 12 or more credits in the Fall or Spring Semesters with a semester GPA of 3.50 or better for courses taken at Hawkeye. Included was Megan McCleerey of Norwalk. Linn Grove Free-Will Offering Meal Members of Linn Grove United Methodist Church, 7483 50th, Prole, will host their "free-will offering" dinner Thursday, Feb. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. Meals can be dine- in or carry out. The Soup Supper will include homemade soups, fresh veggies and delicious desserts. There is no cost for the meal, but a free-will offering will be accepted to benefit children in Martensdale. Gustafson Hosts Local Physicians Rep. Stan Gustafson (R-Cumming) met with several physicians at the Capitol re- cently. Dr. Alan Braun from Norwalk, Dr. Cory Pittman from Johnston and Clinic Manager Candace Milbourn from Panora visited the Statehouse to attend Physi- cians Day on the Hill where they met with legislators and toured the Capitol.
