RESOLUTION 15-19A WAGE INCREASE TARGETED CASE MANAGER
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Warren County Board of Supervisors approve
change in wages for Scott Thomas, Targeted Case Manager, effective January
28, 2015 resulting in an increase from $18.99 per hour to $19.58 per hour due to
satisfactory 6 month review. Carried unanimously
RESOLUTION 15-19B REMOVAL FROM PAYROLL HEALTH SERVICES
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Warren County Board of Supervisors approves to
remove Amber Johnson, HCA, from Health Services Payroll effective January
27, 2015 and to pay out any accrued benefit as per the employee policy. Carded
unanimously
RESOLUTION 15-19C WAGE INCREASE BUDGET COORDINATOR
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Warren County Board of Supervisors approves
change in wages for Megan Andrew, Budget Coordinator, effective February 7,
2015 resulting in an increase from $2,192.31 bi-weekly to $2,301.92 bi-weekly
due to satisfactory 6 month review. Carded unanimously
RESOLUTION 15-19D NEW HIRE HEALTH SERVICES
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Warren County Board of Supervisors approves
hire of Veronica McVay, 1 = 5 Coordinator in Health Services effective January
28, 2015, as a regular full-time employee at Grade 15, Step 1, at the hourly rate
of $22.34 andis eligible to receive benefits. Carried unanimously
RESOLUTION 15-19E TAX ABATEMENT
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Warren County Board of Supervisors approve the
taxes on the mobile home of Vehicle Identification Number 202875C2449, in the
amount of $74.00 plus all accrued interest be abated. Carried unanimously
RESOLUTION 15-19F CONSIDER APPLICATIONTO USE WARREN COUNTY
PROPERTY FOR BIKE DOWN TO I TOWN EVENTS
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby moves
to approve the request from Kevin Halterman to use the Courthouse lawn for the
Bike Down To IT own event on the third Friday of each month beginning April 1T"
and continuing through September 18% 2015; actual dates being April 18, May
15, June 19, July 17, August 21 and September 18, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to
10:30 p.m. Carried unanimously
RESOLUTION 15-19G USE COURTHOUSE LAWN FORWARREN COUNTY
HEALTH FAIR
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Warren County Board of Supervisors approve use
of the Warren County Courthouse lawn for the annual Health and Safety Fair on
Tuesday, June 23,2015. Carried unanimously
RESOLUT!ON 15-19H HIRE ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN INTERN
BE iT RESOLVED THAT the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby move
to approve the hiring of Holly Crow as an Engineering Technician intern in the
Warren County Engineer's Department. Starting date will be February 5, 2015,
rate of pay will be $15.50 per hour and due to the nature of the intern employ-
ment, she wilt not be eligible for any benefits. Carried unanimously
RESOLUTION 15-20 LIMITED ACCESS/ENTRY ADMINISTRATION BUILD-
ING
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Warren County Board of Supervisors approve imple-
menting plan to limit access to the Northwest and Southwest doors of the Ad-
ministration Building. Carried unanimously
RESOLUTION 15-21 SET PUBLIC HEARING DATE REGARDING SALE OF
COUNTY'S INTEREST IN REAL ESTATE
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby set
March 3, 2015 at 9:45 a.m. as a public hearing date pursuant to statute to con-
sider the proposal of Teresa Valenta to purchase Warren County's interest in the
following real estate:
The 12 foot wide North-South alleyway adjacent to the East boundary of Outlot
6, Auditor's Plat of Outlots, Prole, Warren County, Iowa. Carried unanimously

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF WARREN TO AUTHORIZE
THE SUBMITTING OF AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDING FROM THE FED-
ERAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM (STP)-TRANSPORTATION
ALTERNATIVE PROGRAM (TAP) TO THE CENTRAL IOWA REGiONALTRANS-
PORTATION PLANNING ALLIANCE (CIRTPA) FOR THE PARTIAL FUNDING
OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SOUTHEAST WARREN COMMUNITY
SCHOOLS SAFE ROUTE TO SCHOOL PROJECT AND FURTHER APPROV-
ING THE APPLICATION WHICH OBLIGATES SOUTHEAST WARREN COM-
MUNITY SCHOOLS TO MATCHING FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SAID PROJECT
WHEREAS, the County of Warren is a full member of the Central Iowa Regional
Transportation Planning Alliance (CIRTPA); and
WHEREAS, the Federal Surface Transportation Program-Transportation Alter-
natives Program provides funding to local jurisdictions for the construction of
eligible projects; and
WHEREAS, the program is administered by the Central Iowa Regional Trans-
portation Planning Alliance (CIRTPA) which prioritizes and ranks all project ap-
plications; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of
Supervisors of the County of Warren hereby:

The Warren County Board of Supervisors met Thursday, February 5, 2015, at
10:00 a.m. with Supervisor's Doug Shull and Crystal Mclntyre present. Supervi-
sor Dean Yordi was absent. Also present were Traci VanderLinden, Auditor and
Jean Furler, County Administrator. The Board met to set a public hearing for
Level C request on Elk Horn Street.
RESOLUTION 15-23 SET PUBLIC HEARING DATE
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Warren County Board of Supervisors approves to
set Public Hearing date of Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 9:45 a.m. for Level C
request on Elk Horn Street. Carded unanimously

a 6% increase when school funding was debated in the
House. A Senate Education Subcommittee passed a bill
to increase funding by 4%. I assume the full Senate will
pass it and the next move will be up to the House.
Winterset FFA
I had the pleasure of visiting with members of the
Winterset FFA last week. It is encouraging to see young
people looking forward to careers in agriculture and
businesses related to agriculture.
Upcoming Forum
I will be at the City Hall in Norwalk for a legislative
forum Saturday, Feb. 14, at 9 a.m. Also present will be
Representative Gustafson, Norwalk Mayor Tom Phillips
and City Manager Marketa Oliver. The public is wel-
come and invited to ask questions or make comments
on whatever is on their mind.

1 cup peanut butter

cranberry mixture into
peanut butter mixture
until combined. Cover and
refrigerate.
Makes: 12 servings of
two tablespoons each
Blueberry and peanut but-
ter combine for a flavorful
shake.
Blueberry Peanut Shake
2 cups fresh or frozen
blueberries
/ cup creamy peanut
butter
% cup ice
2 cups frozen yogurt
1% cups whole (or low-fat)
milk
Place all ingredients
into a blender. Blend at
high speed for 1 minute.
Pour in glass and serve.
Makes: three servings
of 12 oz. each
