Funeral ser- vices were held Friday, Feb. 20, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Martensdale. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Grimes, Ginger was born March 29, 1935 in Des Moines, daughter of Ernest and Marie Knoll. She worked in the kitchen at Wood- ward-Granger High School and the Depart- ment of Corrections for the State of Iowa. Ginger was a member of the Bevington Garden Club. Ginger is survived by her children, Connie (Russ) Love of Ankeny, Gerre Bice of Woodward and Dee Dee (Ross) McCrory of Martensdale; her siblings, Martha Mar- tens of Martensdale, Karl Virginia R. "Ginger" Bice (Shirley) Knoll of Norwalk and Naomi Bradbury of St. Charles; nine grandchil- dren and 12 great-grand- children. Spangler, 85, Norwalk, who died Sun- da36 Feb. 15. Mary Katherine, the daughter of Anthony and Veronica (nee Mock) Krusel, was born March 29, 1929 in Fergus Falls, MN. The oldest of eight children, she attended and graduated high school in Minnesota. Mary met her husband, Joseph Marion Spangler, in Des Moines and they were married July 5, 1948. To this union they had three children, Vicki, Michael and Bryan. Mary worked as a homemaker when her chil- dren were young. Later in life, she worked for the United States Post Office" and as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Iowa Chil- dren and Family Services. Mary loved music, sewing, crocheting, gardening and always taking care of her younger grandchildren. She was a doting sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandma. After the passing of her husband, Mary lived with Mary K. Spangler her son, Bryan, and his family. They moved to St. Charles from Des Moines and later to Spring Hill near Norwalk. Those left to honor her memory are her children, Vicki (John) Bretthauer of Milpitas, CA, Michael (Terri) Spangler of Godley, TX, Bryan (Debra)of Norwalk; her siblings, Josie Bird, Ann Henrichs, Jim Krusel, Benjamin Krusel, Benedict Krusel and Cindy Campbell; seven grandchildren, David, Daniel, Dixie, Shelly, Bryson, James and Angela; and many great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; hus- band, Joe; and a brother, Anthony Krusel. OBITUARY FLORENCE ANN DER E ADAMS Funeral services for Flo- rence Ann Dewyre Ad- ams, 88, Norwalk, and a former resident of Clarin- da, were held Wednesday, Feb. 25, at O'Leary Cele- bration of Life Center - Funeral & Cremation Ser- vices in Norwalk. Florence Ann Dewyre Adams died peacefully in the Norwalk Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwalk, Tuesday evening, Feb. 17. Born on February 3, 1927 in Burlington Junc- tion, MO, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alta (Hamil- ton) Dewyre. She was pre- ceded in death by her hus- band, Charles William Adams January 30, 1996; daughter, Janet Eskridge of Marionville, MO May 4, 2003; two brothers, George Dewyre and Charles Dew- yre; sister, Mary Jane Dra= goo and nephew, James Dragoo. Florence was an accom- plished gardener, cook and loved caring for her grandchildren. She was a witty lady who loved a good laugh, reality televi- sion and who was passion- ate about Bingo. She en- joyed big family holidays with extended family in Cedar Rapids, shopping at Fareway and attending Crossroads Church with Florence Ann Dewyre Adams Willie and Lisa, and granddaughters Sophie, Olivia and Audrey as of- ten as she could. She was a favorite resident of the Good Life Retirement Apartments, Regency As- sisted Living and lastly Norwalk Nursing and Re- habilitation Center. Her family thanks all of the staff and residents who loved Florence (Flo, Holly- wood) and made her feel special. Florence is survived by her children, Willie (Lisa) Adams of Norwalk, Jean- ie Adams of Mitchellville, Tom (John) Warning of Laytonsville, MD; step- children, Terrlyn (Steve) Ribbey of Clarinda, Becky (Allen) Kent of Elmo, MO, David (Tonia) Adams of Clarinda, and Homer (Sandy) Adams of Wichi- ta, KS; nephew, John Dra- goo of Burlington Junc- tion, MO; niece, Betty Dra- goo of Burlington Junc- tion, MO; and several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
