St. John the Apostle in Norwalk will be hosting a
Trivia Night on March 2nd. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.
and the game begins at 7:00 p.m. Get your friends
and family together in teams of 6 to 8 people, or we
can assign you to a team. It will be a fun night with
prizes for lst, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. as well as
attendance drawings, a birthday survivor game, and
an optional best individual-team costume and best team
theme prizes. The cestume theme is sports teams.
Popcorn and soda will be provided, and you may
bring snacks to share at your table. BYOB (beer and
wine only, please). Registration forms and more
information, including cost, are available at the
church, or call 515-981-4855 to register. Mulligans
will be for sale. Please register by February 28th and
receive more attendance drawing tickets. Proceeds
will go toward the cost of youth attending the
National Catholic Youth Conference.
Norwalk Christian Church has
Moved Temporarily
Exciting changes are in the works for Norwalk
Christian Church. Construction began Monday,
February 11th on the approved renovation project.
During renovations we will worship on Sundays at
O’Leary’s Celebration of Life Center, with children
and adult Sunday school at 9:00 a.m. and worship at
10:00 a.m. ' ,
O’Leary’s is located at 1020 Main Street, Norwalk.

OBITUARY
CLAYTON MUDGE
Clayton Jay Mudge, 42,
Norwalk, passed away on
, February 18th, 2019.
Clayton was born on
December 21st, 1976 in
Des Moines to Dennis
and Elaine Mudge. He
grew up in Norwalk and
graduated from Norwalk
High School in 1995.
Clayton worked for Tera
Corporation, as a
supervisor for a soil
erosion company, work-
ing with windmill farms
in Iowa and Southern
Minnesota.
Clayton’s world was his
son Owen, he loved taking
him fishing and exploring
new things. He loved
teaching him the ways of
life. In his free time,
Clayton enjoyed biking,
kayaking, and “old-
fashioned” camping, with
a tent and man-made
bonfire. Clayton was an
avid Chicago Bears fan.
He knew no stranger
and was friends with all.
Clayton belonged to the
Saylorville Church in
Des Moines, where he
was studying the word of
God. He was a baptized
Christian.
On Monday, February
18th our son of 42 years
passed away. With
saddened hearts and
much grief, we will miss
him, and he will be
forever in our hearts. He
was a good man with a
big heart. A loving son,
brother, father, uncle,
and brother-in-law. He
will be forever missed.
Those left to cherish
his memory are his son,
Owen; his parents,
Dennis and Elaine;
sister, Cassandra (Mike)
Ackerson and their
children, Autumn and
Phoenix; grandmother,
Kathleen Mudge; and a
host of loving aunts,
uncles and cousins.
Clayton will join, in
heaven, his grand-
parents, Bill and Cathy
Mataya; grandfather,
Richard Mudge; and
many great aunts and
uncles.
A Celebration of Life
service was held Feb-
ruary 24th at O’Leary
Funeral Services in
Norwalk. Memorials can
be made to Clayton’s
parents to be designated
at a later time.
