LAKEWOOD ELEMENTARY
By Jill Anderson, Principal
Each month, the 4th graders have a health component to their instruction. This
month, Lakewood students were fortunate to have the following speakers:
Melissa Bice talked about the career of physical therapy and how to eliminate
injuries.
The Norwalk Fire Department shared some information about their career and
injuries. The speakers were Doug Richardson and Jen Vetterick.
This past WednesdaN the 3rd graders were treated to some community guest speak-
ers and talked about their careers. This is part of the Paws in Jobland curriculum. The
speakers were: Nicole Lamb/Accounting; Siobhan Hardy/Artist; Officer Phil Parker;
Kirk Bedwell/Bedwell Gardens; and Dr. William Chase.
It is great to work in a community that is so willing to share their expertise when
we ask them to share. That is one reason that Norwalk is such a great place to work!
