Pick up registration forms 24 hours a day at the Parks
and Recreation office or print them off our website:
www.ci.norwalk.ia.us. You can mail registrations forms,
place them in our drop box or walk in. Our office is
located at 1100 Chatham Ave. (Public Safety Bldg). Of-
rice hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Fri-
day. The drop box is open 24/7! If you have any ques-
tions, please call us at 981-9206. Online registration is

FAMILY FLASHLIGHT EASTER EGG HUNT
When the sun goes down, the fun begins. It's a hunt
for the golden egg[ Families will be required to bring
their own flashlight (size limited to no larger than 2 "D"
cell batteries.) After the hunt and awarding of the prizes,
there will be hot chocolate and treats for all. An adult
must accompany all children. This program is designed
for children under the age of 13.
Registration Dates: Through April 2; ProgrAm Date:
Saturday, April 3; Time: 7:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.; Loca-
tion: Norwalk McAninch Sports Complex*; Equipment
needed: Flashlight; Cost per Family: $10 resident/S11.50
non-resident; Minimax: 30/100 participants. *If inclem-
ent weather, will be held at Oviatt Elementary.
BASEBALL & SOFTBALL PROGRAMS
Because games will be played at the sports complex,
the concession stand will be open and in need of work-
ers. We are requiring parents of first through fourth
graders to participate, either by actually working or by
opting out and we keep the concession fee. We will col-
lect an additional $20 per prayer participating. If you
work in the concession stand or volunteer to coach, your
$20 will be credited to you. For those volunteering to
work, you will be assigned one 2 1/2 -hour time slot.
MINOR BASEBALL & SOFTBALl.
(3 & 4 m grade)
This program is for children who are currently in
third and fourth grades. Girls will play softball and boys
will play baseball. The children will have fun while
learning the fundamentals of baseball or softball. Vol-
unteer coaches will be needed and there will be two
weeks of practices and four weeks of games (dependent
on number of teams). Registration Dates: Through April
2; Softball Nights: Monday and Wednesday; Baseball
Nights: Tuesday and Thursday; Program Begins: May
17 (weather permitting); Time: 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.;
Location: Norwalk-McAninch Sports Complex; Equip-
ment Needed: Glove; Cost: $65 (includes concession fee)
resident, $72 (includes concession fee) non-resident.
PeeWee Tee Ball (Kindergarten) and BamBam Blast
Ball (PreK) will register from May 10 through May 21
and begin play in July.

COMMUNITY CPR - FIRE DEPARTMENT
This classroom-based, video and instructor-led
course is for friends, families and members of the com-
munity who want to learn CPR but do not need a course
completion card. It contains information on how to per-
form the basic skills of CPR in adults, children and in-
fants and how to help an adult, child or infant who is
choking.
Those needing a CPR completion card (certification)
may contact the Fire Department at 515-681-9321 for
class availability. Registration: Through April 2; Date:
April 10 (date change from brochure); Day: Saturday;
Time: 9 a.m. to noon; Place: Public Safety Building Train-
ing Room; Min/Max Participants: 6/12; Cost: $10.

WELL SEASONED POTLUCK
(The meat as well as the people)
All are invited, age 55 or older, to attend a potluck
dinner to enjoy and socialize with the Parks and Recre-
ation staff. Meat, tableware and coffee/beverage are pro-
vided. Dust off the cookbooks and be creative to bring a
side dish and/or dessert to share with everyone. After
the meal we will have some form of entertainment from
local talent. Let us know your email address and we
will send out reminders with what meat we plan to have
on that day. Call the office to register two days before
the event. Date: April 9, May 14; Time: 11:30-1 p.m.;
Location: Norwalk Public Safety Building. (Note new
location this season).
