The Warriors topped Perry and Ballard in a close match. Kaitlyn Ludlow led Norwalk with a 49 to earn runner-up honors. Freshman Jenna Migliero, playing in her first varsity meet, shot a 50. Jordyn Cox fired a 53 and Jade Sells a 54. Liz Purdum and Lauren Bennett also played. The meet was close as the final group walked in with all teams just a few strokes apart. Final scores for team totals showed a difference of five strokes between first and third. Norwalk 206, Perry 209 and Ballard 211. Rachel Weber and Brandie Robson also made the trip. Norwalk Girls Tennis Results The Norwalk Girls Tennis team fell to non-confer- ence foe Boone in their season opener, 9-2. Posting a victory for Norwalk in singles was senior Kacci ClarkWilt. ClarkWilt edged out Boone's Courtney Fos- ter in a super tiebreaker, 17-15, to win the match. ClarkWilt then teamed up with junior Michaela Pearson to win at No. 1 doubles. They competed in their first meet at Simpson College against a field of 4A schools. They ended the night with a 5th place finish and many great times. The team then traveled to Osceola where they competed in the DeWitt Invitational. After taking gold in five events, the Lady Warriors were edged out of the team title by Creston.
