Norwalk Fire Fighters Participate in
Fight for Air Climb
Norwalk Fire Fighters participated in the Fight for Air Climb benefiting the
American Lung Association. The relay team combined climbed a total of 85 floors.
Participants shown are Coby K]ocko, Nathan Balk, Austin Lancaster, and Jason
Smyser.

This information was obtained directly from
the Norwalk Police Department.

April 5th
Theft - 3000 block North Ave. Trailer at a construction job site was entered
and various construction tools were stolen. Information was taken and a report
made.
April 6th
Vehicle Crash - Richard George & Sunset. Vehicle driven by Todd Virden,
Des Moines, left the roadway and struck tree and a stop sign post. Information
was taken and a report forwarded to the Iowa Department of Transportation.
Vehicle Crash - 900 block E 17th. Vehicle driven by Sasha Rusher, Norwalk,
struck a parked vehicle owned by Kathleen Sleeth, Norwalk. Rusher did not
realize her vehicle had made contact, and left the scene. Information was taken
and a report made.
April 7th
Credit Card Fraud 4700 block Candlewick Dr. Resident reported fraudulent
charges on her bank account. Information was taken and a report made. Case
remains under investigation.
April 8th
Criminal Mischief- 200 block Cherry St. School officials reported damage to a
concession stand0ver the weekend. Information was taken and a report made.
Burglary - 1 t00 block West North Ave. Two trailers were entered when locks
were cut and numerous construction tools were stolen from a job site. Information
was taken and a report made. Case remains under investigation at this time.
Credit Card Fraud- 9000 block Prairie Clover Ct. Resident reported fraudulent
withdrawals from his bank account. Information was taken and a report made.
The financial institution is investigating further.
Credit Card Fraud 600 block Orchard Hills Dr. Resident reported fraudulent
withdrawals from her bank account. Information was taken and a report made.
The financial institution is investigating further.
April 9th
Forgery 800 block North Avenue. Fraudulent activity reported on a business
checking account. Information was taken and a report made. Case remains under
investigation at this time.
April 10th
Identity Theft 1400 block Prairie Vista Ct. Resident reported charges were
made on a fraudulent credit card account in his name. Information was taken
and a report made. Case is being investigated by a Federal agency.
Identity Theft 2800 block Prairie Rose Dr. Resident reported fraudulent
charges on an account that had been set up in her name. Information was taken
and a report made. Case remains under investigation.
Motor Vehicle Theft - 500 block Legacy Ct. Resident reported a motor vehicle
stolen from his garage. During the investigation, the vehicle was located in
Nebraska and a suspect was apprehended. Case remains under investigation at
this time.
April llth
Impaired Driver - Sunset Dr & Columbine Dr. Robert Fee, of Woodward, was
arrested and charged with Operating while Intoxicated. Subject was processed
and transported to the Warren County jail.
Theft - 700 block Beardsley. Theft of fuel reported by local convenience store.
Information was taken and a report made. Case remains under investigation.
Property Damage Accident - 2900 block Sunset Drive. Vehicle driven by
Barbara Braggs, Norwalk, struck a trash can and building. Information was
taken and a report made.
Agency Assist/Recovered Stolen Motor Vehicle - 8000 block Echo Drive. Located
a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Des Moines. Vehicle was turned
over to DMPD authorities. Report made.
