Page Ten N/Warren Town and County News Thursday, April 22, 2010 OVIAII CELEBRATES POSITIVE BEHAVIOR Oviatt Elementary has had three assemblies to reward the students for their posi- tive "Warrior Way" behavior. The first assembly was held in February. This featured a teacher volleyball game of second grade teachers vs. third grade teachers in the first match and the kindergarten teachers vs. first grade teachers in the second match. The students were provided with laughs and entertainment from not only the teach- ers who played the game, but the staff who came as cheerleaders, scoreboard run- ners and referees. The students had a great time watching their teachers have fun and it was a wonderful way to show the students at Oviatt what a great staff they have and how they can all have fun together. The second assembly was held in March. This assembly was something new for Oviatt when the Chinese Acrobats performed for the students. They performed amaz- ing feats of balance, magic, tricks and acrobatics. Some of the stunts took six years of practice to perfect! The performers range in age from 19-20 years old and will return to China after they are finished touring the Midwest. The most recent assembly was in April and it featured several animals from the Blank Park Zoo. The zoo trainer excited the students with the different animals she brought and she even had an alligator that each student was able to pet on their way back to class. The students have had a great time at Oviatt Elementary celebrating their positive behavior with their friends and teachers! Congratulations students for showing the "Warrior Way." iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Photo___ ss submitted.
