Norwalk Opens Conference Season with Victory
The Lady Warriors hosted Pella and Oskaloosa in a conference tilt and took first
with a score of 194. Norwalk cut three strokes off their home opener. Pella was sec-
ond with a team score of 214. Oskaloosa had only two players and did not have an
official team score. Sophomore Rachel Frescoln shot a career best'47 to earn medalist
honors. Jenna Migliero was runner-up with a 48. Rachel Weber fired a 49 and Emily
Kawano rounded out the scoring with a 50. The Warriors have two tournaments
before returning to conference action.

Norwalk Girls Tennis Results
'Norwalk 8, Knoxville 3
The Norwalk girls tennis team opened up Little Hawkeye Conference play with a
win over Knoxville Tuesda April 15. The Warriors-won 8-3. Winning in singles for
Norwalk were Sam Roemer, Sarah Roemer, Liz Nimmo and Elly Hofmaier. In doubles,
Roemer and Roemer teamed up for a win over the No. 1 Knoxville duo of Spowart
and Carter, 7-5, 6-3. Nimmo and Allison Stanley won at No. 2. At No. 3, Taya Downs
and Hofmaier won in straight sets as did the No. 5 team of Kenedi Walker and Katie
Olson.

Varsity Boys Track Results
Tuesday, April 8, the Norwalk boys track team trav-
eled to Adel for a co-ed track meet. Norwalk came away
with the team victory outscoring host ADM by three
points and Carlisle by five points.
Final team scoring went as follows: Norwalk-98,
ADM-95, Carlisle-93, DCG- 73, Clarke-43, Van Meter-
• 67, DSM North-57 and Winterset-32.

Thursday, April 10, the Warrior boys track te.am trav-
eled to Simpson College for a four-team boys meet
hosted by Indianola. In the very competitive meet, the
Warriors came away with a 3rd place team finish, scor-
ing 124 points while Carlisle won the meet with 173 and
host Indianola was 2nd with 139 while Knoxville was
4th with 86.
