Gustafson Hosts 1-35 Students Rep. Stan Gustafson (R-Cumming) met with several students from 1-35 High School at the Capitol last week. The students visited the Statehouse as advocates for is- sues facing youth in Iowa. Photh submitted. Norwalk Boys Golf Results Norwalk Places 4th in West Marshall Invita- ti0nal The Norwalk boys golf team traveled to State Cen- ter to compete in the 11 team West Marshall Invi- tational and placed 4th. Norwalk shot a 334 to fin- ish behind Nevada's win- ning score of 316. Norwalk was one shot out of 2nd place finishers Oskaloosa and Grinnell, each of which shot a 333. Norwalk battled the 35 mph winds and cold temperatures. Norwalk was led by senior Carter Albrecht's 82, which was good enough for 11th place overall. Seniors Ben Hallin and Ryan Owens played well, shooting a fine score of 84 each. Other i Norwalk scores were Carter Mallett 84, Mike Guessford 89 and Tyler Larldstrum 90. Norwalk Wins Duel vs. Conference Newton Norwalk traveled to Westwood Golf Course in Newton to take on the 4A Cardinals. Norwalk shot a terrific team score of 155 to beat Newton by 13 strokes. Norwalk was ledby senior Carter Albrecht. Albrecht birdied the last hole to shoot 37 and win the duel. Newton's Derek Damman shot 38 for runner-up hon- ors. Norwalk's Mike Guessford and Carter Mallett each shot 39. Jun- ior Tyler Landstrum battled back from an early triple bogie to shoot 40. Other :Warrior scores were Ryan Owens 44 and Ben Hallin 51. Norwalk was only able to enter two players in the JV squad, but each played weI1. Freshman Blake Johnson shot 42, which was good enough for med- alist JV honors. Norwalk's Conner Scott shot 45 to place 2nd in the meet. Charles F.
