RESOLUTION 14-39A DECREASE IN HOURS HEALTH SERVICES
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves to change employment status of Crystal Sikes, RN in Health Services
from a 40 hour work week to a 36 hour work week effective April 7, 2014. She is
now considered Regular Part-time and will continue to be eligible to receive
benefits. Carried unanimously
RESOLUTION 14-39B WEED NOTICE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF WARREN COUNTY
THAT PURSUANTTOTHE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 317, CODE OF IOWA,
IT IS ORDERED:
That each owner and each person in the possession or control of any lands in
Warren County, shall cut, burn, or otherwise destroy all Noxious Weeds thereon,
as defined in this Chapter, at such tim~ in each year and in such manner as shall
prevent said weeds from blooming or coming to maturity, and shall keep said
lands free from such growth as shall render the streets or highway adjoining said
lands unsafe for public travel. NoxiOus Weeds shall be cut or otherwise de-
stroyed on or before the following dates and as often hereafter as is necessary
to prevent seed production:
June 1,2014 - Primary and secondary noxious weeds listed below, with
the exception of Canada thistle
August 1, 2014 Canada thistle
Prirfiary noxious weeds: Quack grass, perennial sow thistle, Canada thistle,
buss thistle, European morning glory or field bindweed, horse nettle, leafy spurge,
perennial pepper grass, Russian knapweed, buckthorn, and all other species of
thistles belonging in the genera of Cirsium and Carduus:
Secondary noxious weeds: butterprint, cecklebur, wild mustard, wild carrot,
buckhorn, sheep sorrel, sour dock, smooth dock, poison hemlock, multiflora rose,
wild sunflower, puncture vine, teasel and shatteroane.
The multiflora rose shall not be considered a secondary noxious weed when
cultivated for or used as understock for cultivated roses or as ornamental shrubs
in gardens, or in any county whose board of supervisors has by resolution de-
clared it not to be a noxious weed. Shattercane shall not be considered a sec-
ondary noxious weed when cultivated or in any county whose board of supervi-
sors has by resolution declared it not be a noxious weed.
That if the owners pr.person in possession or control of any land in Warren
County fail to comply with the foregoing orders, the Weed Commissioner shall
cause this to be done and the expense of said work, including costs of serving
notice and other costs, if any, to be assessed against the real estate. Carried
unanimously
RESOLUTION 14-39C HIRE TEMPORARY SURVEY CONSULTANT
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, Daniels Land Surveying (DLS) be hired to assist the
Warren County Engineer's Office With professional surveying services, as di-
rected by the Warren County Engineer, for the time period of April 7, 2014 through
July 1,2014. Said services to be paid on an hourly rate basis of $60.00 per hour
for a Licensed Land Surveyor and $110.00 per hour for a field su~'vey crew. DLS
will be reimbursed for survey related materials and supplies. Carried unani-
mously
RESOLUTION 14-39D SET PUBLIC HEARING
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, a public hearing be scheduled for April 22, 2014, 9:00
a.m., in the Board Room of the Administration Building, 301 N. Buxton, Indianola,
Iowa. The public hearing is in regard to the Five Year Construction Program for
the Engineer's Department. Comments may also be submitted by phone or in
writing to the Warren County Engineer's Office. Carried unanimously
RESOLUTION 14-39E HIRE SEASONAL HELP CONSERVATION
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves to hire Ashley Hommer as a seasonal/temporary employee in Conserva-
tion effective April 12, 2014 at a rate of $9.74 per hour, not eligible for benefits;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves to hire Tyler Seuferer as a seasonal/temporary employee in Conserva-
tion effective April 12, 2014 at a rate of $9.78 per hour, not eligible for benefits;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves to hire Drew Peeler as a seasonal/temporary employee in Conservation
effective May 10, 2014 at a rate of $9.68 per hour, not eligible for benefits;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves to hire Sean Seymour as a seasonal/temporary employee in Conserva-
tion ~ffective May 10, 2014 at a rate of $9.78 per hour, not eligible for benefits;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves to hire Nick Reinert as a seasonal/temporary employee in Conservation
effective May 10, 2014 at a rate of $9.78 per hour, not eligible for benefits;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves to hire Monty Freeman, as a seasonal/temporary employee in Conserva-
tion effective May 10, 2014 a,.t a rate of $11.76 per hour, not eligible for benefits.
Carried unanimously
RESOLUTION 14-39F WAGE INCREASE ZONING/ENGINEER/ENVIRON-
MENTAL HEALTH "
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves change in wages for Lindsey Baughman, Assistant Zoning Administra-
=tor, effective March 26, 2014 resulting in an increase to Grade 15, Step 1 at
$21.90 per hour due to additional duties and responsibilities;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves change in wages for Ashley Thompson, Office Manager, Engineers Of-
fice, effective March 26, 2014 resulting in an increase to Grade 13, Step 8 at
$23.36 per hour due to additional duties and'responsibilities;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves change in wages for Kirk Baker, Environmental Health Specialist, effec-
tive March 26, 2014 resulting in an increase to Grade 16, Step 2 at $24.57 per
hour=due to additional duties and responsibilities. Carried unanimously
RESOLUTION 14-39G NEW HIRE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFI(~E INTERN
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, tl~e Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves the hire of Anthony Burton as Administrati~/e Intern through May of 2014,
at the rate of $10.00 per hour, effective April 3,2014 and not eligible for benefits.
Carried unanimously
RESOLUTION 14-39H REMOVAL FROM PAYROLL SHERIFF'S DEPART-
MENT
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves resignation of Candace Tellinghuisen, Dispatcher, Sheriff's Department,
effective March 31, 2014, and to pay out any accrued benefits as per the em-
ployee policy. Carried unanimously
RESOLUTION 14-40 APPROVEWARREN COUNTY PROSECUTING A'I-rOR-
NEYS ASSOCIATION COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves the Warren County Prosecuting Attorneys Association Collective Bar-
gaining Agreement. Carried unanimously

RESOLUTION 14-41 RECOMMENDATION ON RE-= ORGANIZATION AND
REDUCTION- IN-FORCE :~'
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board Of Supe~ors hereby ap-
proves recommendation of Government Restructuring and Efftciencies submit-
ted by Bennett Labor Services, L.L.C. Carried unanimously
RESOLUTION 14-42 SEVERANCE AGREEMENTS
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves the Resignation of Employment and Release Agreement between War-
ren County, Iowa and Robert Baldwin;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves the Resignation of Employment and Release Agreement between War-
ren County, Iowa and Robert Folkestad;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves the Resignation of Employment and Release Agreement between War-
ren County, Iowa and Bred Grismore;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves the Resignation of Employment and Release Agreement between War-
ren County, Iowa and Judy Mitchell;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap-
proves the Resignation of Employment and Release Agreement between War-
ren County, Iowa and Matt Thomas. Carried unanimously
