April 29th
Greenfield Township - theft report. Michael Craig,
31, Des Moines, reported a theft of property. The case
remains under investigation.
Martensdale - suspicious. Adison Clark, 24,
Osceola, was arrested for possession controlled
substance 3rd or subsequent offense, possession of
drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, and
failure to prove insurance.
May 2nd
Greenfield Township - school bus violation. KelseY
Littleton, 26, Des Moines, was cited for illegally
passing a school bus.

2:30, R063/93rd Ave: Ashlee Waddell, Indianola,
was traveling south on R63 Hwy at the intersection ets, armoire, children toys
with G14. An animal entered the roadway. Waddell and more
swerved to miss the animal. The action caused the
vehicle to travel on to the right shoulder of the road 7394 Fulton Street, just
striking a mailbox. The driver steered back to the 3 miles south of
left causing the vehicle to skid. Waddell skidded Norwalk: HUGE garage

across the road still facing south into the left (east)
ditch. Waddell struck a tree in the ditch with the left
rear of the vehicle and continued south striking a
second tree with the front left side of the vehicle.
Both front airbags deployed in the vehicle. The crash
caused severe damage to the vehicle. Waddell became
trapped in the vehicle, her right leg was pinned
between the dash, steering wheel, and the floor of
the vehicle. She thought the crash had occurred one
to two hours before she was found by a passing
motorist. Waddell was extricated by Fire/EMS
personnel on scene. She was transported to Mercy
Hospital by Norwalk EMS due to severe injuries
caused by the crash. The vehicle was severely
damaged and removed from the scene by private tow.
Deputies on scene attempted to contact the owner of
the mailbox. Personal contact was not made, written
contact information for the Sheriffs office with an
accident number was left at the door of the residence.

May 9th
22:23, State 92/Iowa 92: Richard Russell, Indianola,
was traveling west in the 22000 block of Hwy 92. A
deer entered the road from the north moving south.
Russell struck the deer causing cosmetic and
functional damage to his vehicle. Russell was
uninjured. The vehicle was driven from the scene
under its own power. EOR
