GAMES
The 28th annual Iowa
Senior Games (ISG) will be
held in West Des Moines
June 12-15. Athletes ages
50 and over can regis.ter to
compete in this Olympic-
style competition with 29
sports and nearly 100
events. The registration fee
is $40. Registration fee in-
dudes a t-shirt, admission
to the Hall of Fame ban-
quet and an unlimited
number of Iowa Senior
Games events.
Over 800 athletes from
across Iowa and the nation
are expected to compete.
Age groups are broken
into five-year brackets (50-
54, 55-59, etc.) with gold,
silver and bronze medals
awarded to each group.
Participants in this
year's ISG will have an'op-
porttmity to qualify for the
2015 National Senior
Games, held in Minneapo-
lis.
