place them in our drop box or walk in. Our office is
located at 1100 Chatham Ave. (Public Safety Bldg.). Of-
fice hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

HERSHEY TRACK MEET
This track meet is for children currently in third
through sixth grades. This free track meet is the first
step in qualifying for the state meet. A minimum of five
Iowa children will receive an all-expense paid trip to
the national meet courtesy of Hershey Chocolate Com-
pany. Events include 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1600-
meter runs, 4 X 100-meter relays, standing long jump
and softball throw. Registration Dates: Registration will
• be done during PE Classes. Program Date: Friday, May
25, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (3rd to 5th grade); Location:
Norwalk High School Track; Cost: Free.
H20 WORKOUT FOR ADULTS
Our aquatic workout is performed in the cool and
relaxing pool atmosphere. Each class consists of a 45-
minute aerobic workout that includes muscle toning for
arms, stomach, hips and legs along with flexibility and
relaxation exercises. This program stresses going at your
own pace. All exercises can be performed either high or
low impact. You decide how hard you want to work.

AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING
Students must be 15 years old and be able to swim
500 yards to participate. Instruction in water rescue, first
aid and use of special life saving equipment will be
taught. Participants who pass will be awarded Red Cross
Certificates. Class is tentatively scheduled for May 29
through June 2 and hours will not conflict with the
school day. Cost: Norwalk resident $140/non-resident
$161. Register at the Norwalk Parks and Recreation of-
fice through May 25.
NORWALK FAMILY TAE KWON DO
Michael Wagenknecht is the head instructor of the
school and offers programs for ages five through adults.
The classes are separated by rank (beginners and ad-
vanced) and students meet twice a week. Class meets

on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in the Oviatt Multi-pur-
pose room. Beginners meet from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. and
advanced students meet from 7:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
We also offer our Little Dragon program designed
for children ages five to seven. Little Dragons meet twice
a week. This program is run concurrently with the be-
ginning class. Maximum number of students in the Little
Dragon program is 20, so register early.
All programs consist of hand and foot techniques,
forms, self-defense and lessons and instructions on top-
ics such as respect, self-discipline and perseverance.
Competition is also available for those students who are
interested. Competition teaches sportsmanship, gives
confidence and allows the students to use the skills they
have learned in class.
Families are strongly encouraged to join and train
together. We found that the kids learn better when one
or both of their parents/guardians are learning along-
side of them in class. For more information see

STEP BENCH AEROBICS
Step into a great workout with low impact, high-en-
ergy aerobic routines set to music. Participants use a
step bench to help increase the heart rate. The bench is
provided and you may bring hand-held weights to in-
crease intensity and improve muscle tone. Mary Jane

EARLY BIRD WORKOUT
For those of you who get up with the chickens, come
join these early morning classes that will work on ulti-
mate body sculpting, Pilates and Chic•metrics. This
class is designed to maximize core strength, firm and
tone your butt/thighs and arms. This class will use
dumbbells and dynabands that will put you to the test
with added intensity. Mary Jane Sharp is the instructor.

CIRCUIT SENSATION
Are you ready for this new workout that is athletic,
intense and more fun than a three-ring circus? Using
the motivational power of teamwork and competition
in combination with the balance challenges presented
by the bosu balance workout, you will discover how to
change ordinary circuit workouts into extraordinary
workouts. The class will also use jump ropes, medicine

BOOTCAMP!
3-2-1... GO! Are you ready to really kick your fitness
into high gear? Join CrossFit Coach Angie Starmer for
challenging workouts that have the ability to push your
limits or simply give you more variety. The intensity is
up to you! All fitness levels are welcome! This class will
teach you basic functional bodyweight movements to
include the squat, push up and much more! These work-
outs are designed to optimize the 10 pillars of fitness
(Cardio, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed,
Coordination, Agility, Balance and Accuracy). Your re-
sults will be tracked week to week so you can see your
