Lions Club Project A Success The Norwalk Lions appreciate the following for their support for the Lions Club Garage and Bake Sale held April 27 and 28 with all proceeds going to the Norwalk Food Pantry. The group raised $1,143.65 with donations and sales plus three boxes of food at the sale. In addi- tion, the Norwalk Lions purchased $10 gift cards ($200 from Scott's and $200 from Fareway). Take time to thank all of those who were involved in some way for their service. Lions Club President Linda Bussanmas said, "I am proud to live in such a giving community!" Thanks to Norwalk Chamber and Newton Standridge for assistance with tables, N/Warren Town & County News (advertising), Sears at Southridge Mall for use of clothing racks, community and Lions mem- bers for donation of merchandise, baked items and cash donations, Norwalk Lions and friends who volunteered with preparation, advertising, working and clean up. All merchandise left over was donated to FreeStore- household items, Warren County Helping Hand in hianola, Door of 1;.aih-men's clothing and Central Iowa Shelter-women's clothing (student project). Miss Davis is a 2003 graduate of Norwalk High School and a 2009 graduate of Mercy College of Health Sciences. She is currently a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Mr. Criger is a 2000 graduate of Norwalk High School and a 2006 graduate of Iowa State University. He is a caseworker at Orchard Place in Des Moines. The couple will be married at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Norwalk Saturday, June 9. Summer Worship Hours at St. Paul Lutheran Members of the Martensdale St. Paul Lutheran Church are reminded that summer worship hours will be at 9:30 a.m. beginning Sunda}; May 27. The worship time will continue at 9:30 a.m. through Labor Day Week- end, Sunday, Sept. 2. There is no Sunday School during the summer.
