Methodist Church has
awarded Serve Our Neigh-
bor Scholarships to Mor-
gan Halverson and
Michaela McIlravy. They
are 2012 graduates of
Martensdale-St. Mary's
Schools.
In order to receive the
scholarships, the teens
must demonstrate their
ability to serve others in
their community. Linn
Grove United Methodist
Church is committed to
serving others. During the
school year, the church
hosts monthly called Serve
Our Neighbor community
dinners. Those who attend
give a free-will offering for
the meal. The funds raised
from the dinners are used
to meet the needs of neigh-
bors locally and around
the world. Halverson and
McIlravy have demon-
strated their commitment
to service.
