Amber McCool, daugh- ter of Daniel and Lynn McCool of Des Moines and granddaughter of Charles and Becky Stover of Norwalk, has been named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2010 semes- ter. She is a student at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny. Students who re- ceive this honor have achieved a high grade point average. Birth Eric and Brandy Huntoon, Norwalk, are the parents of a daughter, Molly Elizabeth, born Tuesda May 25, at Mercy Medical Center. Molly weighed 6 lb. 2 oz. and was 19 in. long. She has two brothers, Alexander, 18, and Patrick, 10. Grandparents are Marcia and Ron Seifert, ................................... Des Moines, Roger and Logan McCool, son of Daniel and Lynn McCool of Des Moines and grand- son of Charles and Becky Stover of Norwalk, was named to the Cedarville University Dean's List for the 2010 Spring Semester. McCool is a senior major- ing in BS Biology. Cedarville University is an accredited, Christ-cen- tered Baptist university of arts, sciences, professional and graduate programs located in Cedarville, OH. To be named to the Cedarville University Dean's List, a student must earn a 3.5 GPA for the se- mester carrying at least 12 semester hours. Iowa Grill Masters Cookout For the 4Zth year, the best grillers in Iowa will gather to compete for the title "Iowa Cookout Champion" at the Iowa State Fair. The Contest showcases the state's best outdoor chefs working their culinary magic with some of Iowa's finest meat products. The search for a new champion begins this sum- mer when county Farm Bureaus host local contests to determine winners in several categories. Local finalists will compete for the state title on Iowa Farm Bureau Day at the fair, Tuesday, Aug. 17, on the Grand C0ncourse of the Iowa State Fairgrounds. The first local contests will be held in June. A list of the county cookout con- tests will be updated regu- larly on the Iowa Farm Bureau website, http:// www.iowafarmbureau.com. Interested grillers and at- tendees should also con- tact their county Farm Bu- reau office for more details and information on rules and contests in their area. "The cookout contest is about sharing the best of what Iowa has to offer: its people and the food raised on our farms," said Iowa Farm Bureau cookout co- ordinator Denny Harding. "Every year hundreds of grillers compete in local competitions for a chance to showcase their best for state fairgoers."
