community. Cadets will take part in fingerprinting, investigating a crime scene, tak-
ing photos, casting footprints and running an obstacle course. Each student will re-

grades), July 12 through July 16 (students who completed fifth and sixth grades);

NORWALK JUNIOR FIRE SCHOOL
Learn basic firefighter skills to include use of fire hoses, ladders, hand tools, fire
investigation and breathing apparatus training. Basic first aid and ambulance equip-
ment will also be demonstrated. Fire department staff will be coordinating this fun
program. Registration Dates: June 7 through June 18; Program Dates: July 19 through
July 23 (students who completed third through sixth grades); Time: 10 a.m. to Noon;
Location: Norwalk Public Safety Building; Cost: $23 ($20 with resident discount);
Max: 12 students.
BIKE SAFETY DAY
(Information different from brochure)
The Norwalk Police Department, Norwalk Fire Department, along with Norwalk
Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a Bike Safety Day. Participants will bring their
bikes to the Norwalk Public Safety Building parking lot and get their bikes inspected
and ride the safety course. Several guest speakers will be on hand to talk with every-
one about the safety of bike etiquette. After the safety course, Mayor Doug Pierce
will lead a bike ride in the area surrounding the Public Safety Building. Each regis-
tered child (ages five to fifth grade) will have a chance to win two individual season
pool passes or several new bikes. Drawings will take place during lunch and you
must be present to win.
Free t-shirts will be given to pre-registered participants along with bike helmets.
Lunch will be provided for everyone after the bike ride. We will hold this event rain
or shine. Registration Dates: Through June 4; Program Dates: Saturday, June 19;
Time: 10 a.m.; Location: Norwalk Public Safety Building; Equipment Needed: Your
Bicycle; Cost: FREE.

I HEREBY ORDER that if a person is excused from the Compensation Commission, the Applicant, Warren County
and person or persons representing the fee ownership interest in the property may stipulate in writing to the selection and
notification of a particular Alternate Commissioner having the same qualifications as the person being replaced, provided
such stipulation is filed with the Sheriff not less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting of the Commission•
Absent such stipulation, the Sheriff of Warren County, Iowa, shall notify person or persons unable to serve or stricken from
the panel, such notification to be given to Alternate Commissioners in the same manner as the original Compensation
Commissioners were notified. The Alternate Commissioner first notified who is available to serve as a Compensation
Commissioner shall then serve in the place of the Commissioner who was unable to serve or who was stricken from the
panel. I further direct that the above-named Altemate Commissioners shall not be subject to challenge without cause.
I FURTHER HEREBY ORDER that the Commissioners, and such Alternate Commissioners as may be hereafter
selected by the Sheriff due to the absence or removal of a Commissioner, shall appear at the time and place designated
for the meeting of the Compensation Commission in the Notice of Meeting of Compensation Commission to Assess
Damages for the Taking of Property, and that prior to said meeting, the above named Commissioners and Alternate
Commissioners shall not communicate with the Applicant, Warren County, or the Owner or tenant of the property being
condemned regarding the condemnation proceedings.
I FURTHER HEREBY ORDER that the Applicant, Warren County, mail and publish or serve a list of the above-named
Compensation Commissioners and alternate Commissioners to the owner or owners of the property sought to be con-
demned, in accordance with Section 6B.4 of the Iowa Code.
