Juvenile Diabetes Walk FCC Fundraiser
Saturday, May 16, a Juvenile Diabetes Walk was held in Des Moines. Nick McGee,
pictured center, was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes this year. He is a student at
Norwalk Middle School. He and members of his baseball team joined together
and raised money for the walk. Students in the middle school held two different
fund raisers to contribute to the cause also. All of the money raised will go to
research and a Juvenile Diabetes camp this summer. The Norwalk Middle School
was able to raise over $400 for the cause. Photo submitted.

It is the time of year that Fellowship Community Church is having it's annual
garage sale to benefit the team that is going to Tijuana, Mexico.
There is a group of 33 people that will be going July 12-19. During that week they
will be building 12'x12' housing structures for families in need.
They will be visiting an orphanage and giving them an American lunch of hot
dogs and watermelon. They will also visit families that live at the local dump.
The garage sale is Saturday, June 13, beginning at 8 a.m. This year, weather per-
mitting, it will be in the FCC parking lot.
Clay Artisan Show
Clay Artisans of RDG create handmade pottery and sculptural work that is as
individual and expressive as they are. Artists will be present, giving the public the
opportunity to meet them, view their work and hear about their creative process.
They will display and sell their work outdoors in the parking lot immediately north
of the building. The group has been sharing studio space for many years within the
Dahlquist Art Studio located in the ART 316 building on SW 5th Street. This show is
their first end_avor as a group.
Other artists who work in the building will also exhibiL The group plans monthly
shows
the 2nd Saturday of the month at this location on June 13, July 11 and August 8.
