At 11 a.m. worship begin festival activities with a
message by Pastor Blumer and music by the Crossroads
Praise Band.
Schedule for the remainder of the day is as follows:

2 p.m. - Bread of Stone, National Artist
3:15 p.m. - Kerrie Walker, National Artist
4:30 p.m. - 7event.h Time Down, National Artist
5:45 p.m. - Evangelist Alan Greene
7 p.m. - Rhett Walker Band, Headliner Artist
Each of the above bands _have been featured in this
newspaper leadingup.to the big event Sunday.
Abotlt 15 years ago, Pastor Blumer was at Good News
Reformed Church in Sioux Falls, SD where he helped
lead an effort to host a similar event on the parish lawn.
It featured one national band and drew 800 people. To-
da); the festival is known as LifeLight, a Labor Day
weekend event that draws a ,quarter million fans each
year.
B3 the time LifeLight blossomed into the largest out-
door Christian music festival in the United States,
Blumer had moved to Crossroads Church in Norvyalk.
He is excited to bring nationally known artists in the
music industry to Norwalk so band members can share
their stories and music with the audience.
Pastor Blumer says, "Bring a lawn chair, bring the
family and come enjoy. God's going to show up. We hope
you do, too."

Street for spectators.
We also have a raffle to help defray costs of the race.
There are many great prizes donated by local business
owners and residents. Raffle tickets can be purchased
in advance by calling Pat Wahl at 981-4928. Drawing
will be held at the race; you need not be present to win.

For more than 35 years, monies generated by the
Norwalk Lions Club through several fundraisers have
provided needed community aervices, including but not
limited to: fulfilling requests for eyeglasses for those in
need, scholarships for Norwalk High School graduates,
Norwalk Food Pantry and support for Norwalk Com-
munity Schools programs and other community
projects. In addition we provide: eye screening for chil-"
dren six months to five years old in the Norwalk area
through Iowa KidSight; sponsor blood drives, support
for Lions Leader Dog project and provide volunteers
for community projects and other activities in the com-
inunity.
