Norwalk Churches Unite for Heartland
Crossroads Church and
the United Methodist
Church jointly held a
Meals From The Heart-
land packaging event
April 20 in Norwalk. Their
original goal was to pack-
age 75,000 mealS; however,
due to the generous dona-
tions from both churches,
they were able to raise
enough money to pack-
age 100,006 meals! To-
gether, the two churches
raised $20,000! Each meal
cost $0.20 and the funding
to purchase the food sup-
plies is raised by the indi-
vidual organizations
wanting to hold a packag-

meals packaged will be
shipped to Haiti and some
will stay to help struggling
families here in the United

ready scheduled a joint
packaging event for April
5, 2014. They understand
the importance of the
Norwalk area churches
working together and wel-
come other Norwalk
churches who would like
to help raise money and be
a part of next year's pack-
aging event.
