Norwalk Warriors I Official Publication for the Norwalk Community School District I Page Eight N/Warren Town and County News Thursday, June 11, 2015 Nimmo In State Tennis Singles Norwalk senior Liz Nimmo competed in the 2015 Iowa Girls' State Tennis Singles Championships Thursda) June 4, at the Ankeny Tennis Complex at Prairie Ridge. Nimmo's first match paired her against the 4th-seeded player from Grinnell, Lily Hamilton. Hamilton defeated Nimmo, 6-1, 6-1. In the consolation draw, Nimmo fell to Audrey Hinz of Dubuque Wahlert, 6-2, 6-1. FUNDRAISER Students from Kirsten Britt's Genius Hour English class, has collected just shy of $300 for students who might have financial obstacles keeping them from partici- paring in sports programs. They presented this money to Nancy Kuehl, Norwalk Parks and Rec Director, to be used in our scholarship program to help those in need. Photo submitted.
