Pick up registration forms 24 hours a day at the Parks
and Recreation office or print them off our website:
www.ci.norwalk.ia.us. You can mail registration forms,
place them in our drop box or walk in. Our office is
loca{ed at 1100 Chatham Ave. (Public Safety Bldg.). Of-
fice hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
The drop box is open 24/7! If you have any questions,
call us at 981-9206. Online registration is available. (See

MENACE SOCCER CAMP
Join members of the-Des Moines Menace - Iowa's
Premier Soccer Team - for a fun camp experience June
23-26 at the Norwalk-McAninch Sports Complex. Camp
is open for ages 3-14. Camp runs from 9-10 a.m. for ages
3-4 ($60 registration), from 10-11:30 a.m. for ages 5-8
($80 registration) and from 9-11:30 a.m. for ages 9-14
($100, registration). Participants receive a soccer ball,
Menace t-shirt and two tickets to attend a Menace game

thought of being in a pageant, but didn't know where
to start? Did you know that the largest provider of schol-
arships for women in the world is the Miss America
Organization? This class is a short class introducing you
to the exciting world of pageants! (Note that this class
will focus on natural pageants and not "glitz" type pag-
eants as seen in popular television shows.)
You will learn about: 1. Creating a Great R6sum6, 2.
Interview, 3. Community Service, 4. Personal introduc-
tion, 5. On Stage Questions, 6. Makeup, 7. Runway (Ca-
sual Wear) Walk, 8. Beauty Walk, 9. Turning, 10. Choos-
ing the best look for you in: a. Beauty, b. Interview, c.
Casual Wear, 11. Optional competitions, 12. Different
Pageant Systems.
Girls should bring a pair of age appropriate heels to
the dass. If they would like advice on gowns, bring those
as well. At the end of class, a mock pageant will be held.
This class is for girls going into 2nd through 6th grades
in 2014-2015 school year. The 4lass is taught by Jordan
George, reigning Miss American Coed's Miss Heartland
and past America's US Miss Iowa Tween and National
American Miss Iowa Cover Girl and National Cover
Model. All fees collected from this class will go to the
Norwalk Parks and Recreation Aquatic Center Fund.

SUMMER TENNIS
LESSONS- MUNCHKIN TENNIS
Join Simpson College Men's Tennis Team for Sum-
mer Tennis Lessons! This program is offered for par-
ticipants in two separate sessions. You may register your
child for one, or both, of these sessions (sessions will be
conducted with same curriculum). These lessons are
instructional and offer your child an introduction into
the game of tennis. Grade is determined by the grade
just completed. Registration: Through June 13; Loca-

SUMMER ART CAMP
Join us for two days of furl creative activities that kids
will love. This c&mp includes two art projects and snack
each day. Register for one day or both. Educational and

CHESS SUMMER CAMP
Brent Walker, retired Norwalk HS teacher, will pro-
vide fun, informative and challenging chess lessons to
students from the surrounding area. Chess is a fun game

withiots of moves to improve student's logic, concen-
tration, and critical-thinking skills along with impor-
tant life concepts such as the ability to win graciously
and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship. At
the end of the camp, the student will receive a t-shirt
and participate in a mini-chess tournament with a tro-
ptiy to the winner. This camp is open to all ages: 1st
grade thru 12th grade. Registration Dates: Through

COED SLOW PITCH SOFTBALL LEAGUE
Players must be 18 years old and out of high school.
Umpires provided. Registration Dates: Through June

August 3 (tentative); Time: 3, 4, 5, 6 p.m. (dependent
on # of teams); Location: Norwalk-McAninch Sports

STEP BENCH AEROBICS/INTERVAL
This is a class of high energy aerobic routines inter-
spersed with intense cardio segments and followed by
a recovery period. Class will improve cardio condition-
ing. This class is for any fitness level and can be adjusted
to a low or high impact class depending on the level of
fitness you are. The bench is provided and you may
bring floor mat/towel and hand-held weights to increase
ifftensity and improve muscle tone. Mary Jane Sharp is

EARLY BIRD BODY SCULPTING
For those of you who get up with the chickens, come
join this early morning class that will work on ultimate
body sculpting, Pilates and Chicometrics. This class is
desigrtod to maximize core strength, firm and tone your
butt, thighs and arms. This class will use dumbbells,
big exercise bails (your own on designated days) and
dynabands that will put you to the test with added in- "
tensity. Bring a mat/towel; hand weights are optiorial.
