The Norwalk Student Education Foundation honored
many grants this spring to teachers. Unfortunately, we
were not able to grant to all who applied due to budget
constraints. Congratulations to all who were chosen and
thanks to all who applied. Our next grants will be of-
fered in October of 2013. Clint Driftmeier, Diane
Edwards, Bobi Jo Friesen, Elizabeth Handy/Brett Th-
ompson, Donna Kitterman, Mikala Lee, Kerri Levi,

Oviatt first grader, Alex C., felt strongly that he wanted to help the victims of the terrible Oklahoma tornados.
He contacted, Dr. Laura Sivadgeand Rodney Martinez asking if he could collect loose change from students to
send to the victims in Moore, OK. Of course the answer was yes from them, so Alex and his parents created a
wheelbarrow for the students to put loose change in for one week. In one week's time Oviatt students col-
lected $650 to give to the Red Cross for Moore, OK tornado victims. Congratulations to Alex and his school-
mates at Oviatt for caring for the victims from the Oklahoma tornados. Photos submitted.
