Carried Unanimously RESOLUTION 11-121C NEW HIRE HEALTH SERVICES BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap- proves hiring Stacey McLain RN BSN, as Maternal Child Health Nurse, at grade/ step 14-2, at the rate of $19.78 per hour, eligible for benefits, effective June 13, 2011. Carried Unanimously RESOLUTION 11-121D AUDITOR'S SUMMER INTERN BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap- proves to hire Tim Riggles as summer intern in the Auditor's Office, at the rate of $10.00 per hour, not eligible for benefits, effective May 31 through mid August, 2011. Carded Unanimously RESOLUTION 11-127 CREATE EQUIPIBENT REPLACEMENT FUND AND APPROVE TRANSFER BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap- prove the establishment of a Secor~ Roads Eq~pment Replacement Fund, approve transferring $114,855 from the Seco~ Roads Fund to the Second- ary Roads Equipment Replacement Fund, and as~ fire fund balance of the Secondary Roads Equipment Re~ Fund lot fufure purchases of sec- ondary road equipment. Carried Unanimously" RESOLUTION 11-126 PUBLIC PURPOSE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, economic development has become an essential activity to insure the maintenance and development of a sound economic base for the commu- nity, and WHEREAS, the Warren County Economic Development Corporation has been specifically established to assist in economic development activities for the ben- efit of Warren County, and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors deems it to be in ~ best interest of the County to work in a cooperatNe manner wil~ Wan'en County Economic Devel- opment Corporation as opposed to ~ ~ staff and incurring expenses in the effort directly; NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Warren County Board of Su- pervisors does hereby approve the Warren County Economic Development Cor- poration payment as being in the pubic k~erest and serving a public purpose. BE IT FURTHER'RESOLVED THAT Warren ~ has previously contributed $60,000 to the Warren County Economic Development Corporation as approved on the 20th of July, 2010. As noted in that resolul~, future contributions during the fiscal year 2010/2011 may be calculated based upon Warren County Eco- nomic Development Cor~'s pri~ate entity fund raising activities. The War- ren County Board of Supervisors waives the matching requirement for the re- maining contribution for FY20 10/2011. ~ Warren County will authorize payment to the Warren County Economic ~ Corporation of $50,000 as budgeted in the 2010/2011 fiscal year. Carried Unanimously RESOLUTION 11-126 ASSIGNED FUND BALANCE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board.of Supervisors in accor- dance with Governmental Acseu~ Standards Board Statement 54 hereby approves assigning General Basic Fund Balance of $654,856.50 for future jail expansion. Carried Unanimously RESOLUTION 11-1 30 PIPE BID AWARDED WHEREAS, quotations were received from 8~e togowing vendors for Special Design Corrugated Metal Pipe ~ Bid No. 91-2011-1P; and, WHEREAS, the following quotations were received:. Midwestern Culvert $25,860.33 ABC Enterprises $27,867.45 Metal Culverts $25,142.45 Contech Construction Products $27,015.00 BE IT RESOLVED on a motion by Steve Wilson, second by Dean Yordi, based on the quotations received, that the pipe bid contract be awarded to Metal Cul- verts for $25,142.45. Carded Unanimously RESOLUTION 11-131 TERMINATION OF EMPLOYEE WHEREAS David Wall last performed actual services for the Warren County Engineer's Office on May 10, 2010 and has been unable to return to work for the County in the one year following that date; BE IT RESOLVED THAT the employment of David K. Wall in the Engineer's Office be terminated, last day of employment being May 10, 2011, and that he be compensated for any unpaid, accrued vacation and compensatory time, and be removed from payroll. Carried Unanimously RESOLUTION 11-132 APPROVE 173RD AVE REPAIR BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap- proves authorization for the Engineer to fix the culvert, haul and spread rock on 173rd Ave and that Mr. Cl~ghorn Mark Hunter, and Justin Geisler agree to pay for said rock; AND BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby agrees to revisit this issue with the County Engineer, Alan Claghom, Mark Hunter, and Justin Geisler of 173rd Ave to resolve this issue. Carried Unanimously The Supervisors gave reports of their previous week's activities. Also present were Carla Fultz, Warren County Assistant Attorney, Sydney Smith,' Billie Jo Spear, Heather Casteel, Krisfi Dierking, Kathy Rupp, and Peggy Hutchison. The board met to discuss a cata- strophic leave policy. RESOLUTION 11-133 CATASTROPHIC LEAVE POLICY BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap- proves to adopt the catastrophic leave policy forthe employees of Warren County. Carried Unanimously Upon proper motion the meeting was adjourned.
