The daughter of William “Bill” & Wanda Wright, she was born September 2lst, 1971. N/Warren Town and County News OBITUARY EVERET PURSCELL Everett Purscell, 69, Des Moines, died June 9th, 2019 at HCI Iowa Methodist Medical Cen- ter. Everett Lee, the son of Everett and Helen (nee: Emerson) Purscell was born on October 15th, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa. He grew up in Des Moines with his older brothers and sisters. Everett attended East High School and SE Polk High School. Following high school he attended DMACC, studying HVAC courses. Everett was a medic in the Army during the Vietnam war from June 22nd, 1971 to October 5th, 1972. He cared for many in need of medical assistance and even those higher up and was awarded with many privileges due to that status. Everett worked on the factory floor at EMCO for approximately 20 years, retiring in 2010, after suffering a stroke at home, with his wife. Everett had some fierce survival skills and was a Golden Gloves Champion in middle school. He also played on a pool league at Highland Park Country Club and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends going to musical events, playing his harmonica, watching races on TV and in person at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, Boone Speedway, Knoxville Raceway and the Iowa Speedway in Newton. He enjoyed traveling with anyone that would accompany him and most recently, with his brother to South Dakota. Everett will be remembered for his love of his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He gave all he could to his family and more, when possible. A Celebration of Life service was held at O’Leary Funeral & Cremation Services in Norwalk on Monday, June 17th.
