Central College is
offering a unique opp-
ortunity for prospective
high school students with
its STEM Exploration

set for June 27th-28th
and will allow prospective
students to explore the
fields of science, tech-
nology, engineering, and
mathematics.
Students attending
STEM Exploration will
have the opportunity to
work one-on-one with
Central professors, spen-
ding time in both their
indoor and outdoor labs
and working in Vermeer
Science Center. With six
different hands-on work-
shops focused on topics
such as bat netting,
chemical reactions using

heat transfer and
thermal imaging, stat-
istics with dolphins, and
robotics programming,
students can explore
various STEM areas
that meet their specific
interests.
At no cost to those
attending, students have
the option to spend the
night on campus in one
of Central College’s resi-
dence halls. While the
event lasts two. days,
students may choose to
attend one or both days
of STEM Exploration.
