Page Twelve N/Warren Town and County News Thursday, June 25, 2015 Rusty Spokes Bar & Grill Opens in OriHa Photos submitted. Rusty Spokes Bar and Grill had its start alongside the Great Western Bike Trail in Orilla opening May 20. It is located one mile South of the Highway 5'bypass and just five miles West of Norwalk. A Grand Opening is scheduled Friday, June 26. There will be live entertainment, a raffle and free samples. The first 150 receive a free Rusty Spokes koozie with pur- chase. The owners are Jason Luedtke of Chariton and Brady and Ashli Anderson of Prole. Their big dream stemmed from Jason's late sister, Jessica, who was also Ashli's friend. Jessica loved running and biking and did her first and only RAGBRAI in 2008. From then on, Team Jess was formed in her honor. It has grown every year. It was after that, the idea of opening something on a bike trail soon became a reality. Abike is hanging in the restaurant; it is not any old bike, it is Jessica's bike - the one she rode in RAGBRAI. Opening the bar and grill is the owners first experience in the business. They have loads of drive, ambition and a big dream to make it a success. The menu ranges from top-rated beef used in their burgers; to hot wings, wraps, salads, an array of appetizers and a full-service bar. They are all about Texas toast, as that is what you will find with every sandwich. The owners will be featuring local artists and bands outside on Fridays through- out the summer. They offer a trough service outside Tuesda)9 Wednesday and Satur- days, as well as Walking Tacos on the Patio on Tuesdays, in addition to daily spe- cials. They have started "Bike Battles" in which teams come in and purchases are kept track of and posted Tuesday of each week. The "Battles" run to August 29. The team with the most points earns a Keg Party from Rusty Spokes. The hosts provide a fun, friendly small town atmosphere and are happy to accom- modate large parties.
