The Superstars Baton Team competes through- out the year in Iowa, Ne- braska and Minnesota. The Production team consists of baton athletes of alL ages, kindergarten to col- lege. The team is raising money to help support an appearance at the AYOP Nationals 2014 at Notre Dame. Email Jaki Livingston at livinglife5@q.com if you want someone to come to your home to pick up cans. As part of the special programming for summer, the Norwalk Easter Public Li- brary and City State Bank are sponsoring an author speaker series and luncheon in July. The summer theme for adults this year is Groundbreaking Reads. "I saw-many opportunities to explore this idea - both literally and figuratively" saictMary Kay Johnson, the adult coordinator for the library. "I looked for authors who write about groundbreaking people, ideas or actual breaking ground - as in ardens, rocks and fossils." CITY OF Golf Benefit The 6th Annual Norwalk Athletic Booster Club (NABC) Golf Benefit will be held Saturda Aug. 24, at Countryside Golf Course with a shotgun start at noon. The 18-hole event will be a four-person best shot. The cost is $65 per person or $260 per foursome and includes dinner. There will also be prizes. Proceeds are used for the general fund of the NABC. ,# MICHAEL DR SPRUCEST WRIGHT RD Norwalk McAninch TREVOR CT Celebratethe 4th in Norwalk Friday, July 12, Robert Wolf will share his knowledge of the rocks and fossils of Iowa that are often found in our state parks. He promises a special token for all participants Nancy Harless writes about extraordinary nurses, who go to difficult places in order to serve those in need, and she will present Friday, July "19. Finally, Friday, July 26, Deb Engle talks about how gardens can be used to nurture and heal hearts and communities. All ages are welcome! Pre-registration is required since lunch is provided. Free- will donations are accepted, but not required.
