The following business was had to wit: RESOLUTION 13-139 BUDGET RE-APPROPRIATION BE IT RESOLVED THAT, there be the following re-appropriation for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2013: - From To General Assistance $ 5,850 DHS . $5,850 And; From To Child Decategorization $10,000 General Assistance $10,000 Carried unanimously. 9:30 a.m. Public Hearing for Rezoning: RESOLUTION 13-140 CLOSE PUBLIC PORTION OF MEETING BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the public portion of the Valentine rezoning meeting is hereby closed. Carried unanimously. RESOLUTION 13-141 APPROVE VALENTINE REZONING REQUEST BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap- proves the rez6ning request for Rick and Laura Valentine and Mary E. Hart, 16718 HWY 92, Indianola, Iowa from A-1 (Agricultural District) to C-2R (General Commercial-Highway Service Distdcts-Restdcted) and waiving the 2~ and 3'd readings with the following restrictions thereto: 1 .) Carried unanimously. RESOLUTION 13-146 CLOSE PUBLIC PORTION OF MEETING BE IT RESOLVEDTHAT, the public portion of the revised ordinance's meeting is hereby closed. Carded unanimously RESOLUTION 13-147 APPROVE REVISED ZONING AND SUBDIVISION ORDINANCES BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board0f Supervisors hereby ap- proves changes to the December 23, 2008, Warren County iowa, Revised Zon- ing and Subdivision Ordinances. The amendment is in Chapter 41, Section 41.02 A-1 DISTRICT REGUI_~,TIONS, 2. Special Use Permits A-1. Add: U. ATTEST: -AUDITOR, Traci VanderUnden CHAIR,, Ooug Shull OFFICIAL PUBLICATION Norwalk Community Schools Notice of Public Hearing Sale Regarding Future Plans for School Buildings and Property Located at 906 School Avenue ("Old School") Kate Baldwin The Board of Directors of the Norwalk Community School District will be holding a public hearing to take community input prior to taking any final actions to sell or raze the school building and other structures owned by the District located at 906 School Avenue, Norwalk, Iowa.The public hearing will be held in the Lake- wood Cafeteria located at 9210 Happy Hollow Drive, Norwalk, Iowa 50211 at 6:00 p.m. on the 8th day of July, 2013. The Norwalk Community School District recently finalized the purchase of a commercial "flex" building and property located at 380 Wright Road in Norwalk (SW corner of Hwy 28 and Wright Road), The District will be relocating the ad- ministrative offices and maintenance operations to this facility.This property was formerly the site of the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research. School District officials have met with City officials on several occasions. The Sct- )el recognizes the City as the authority for approval of improvements and future developments. The District and City have discussed ways the property could be used to benefit the community and adjacent neighbors. Uses like a public park with youth soccer fields have been discussed. Uses for the one-story wood building like a community gathering room, etc. have also been discussed. The Board is currently accepting proposals from interested buyers All proposals submitted will need to be accompanied by an approval letter from the City of Norwalk, verifying the future use meets the City's zoning anduse requirements. The Board will be accepting proposals until July 1,2013. Interested parties can learn more about the property and the necessary steps to submit a proposal in the notice of sale published on the Norwalk Community School District's website (www.norwa!k.kl 2.ia.us).
