I Page Six N/Warren Town and County News Thursday, July 1, 2010 OFFICIAL PUBLICATION NOTICE OF SALE Norwalk Community School District $2,200,000* General Obligation School Bonds, Series 2010 Sealed bids will be received on behalf of the Norwalk Community School Distdct, in the County of Warren State of Iowa, until ten o'clock a.m. on July 12, 2010, for the purohase of $2,200,000* General Obligation School Bonds Any of the methods set forth below may be used, but no open bids will be accepted: Sealed Bidding: Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Board Secretary, 906 School Avenue Norwalk, Iowa. Electronic Intemet Bidding: Electronic intemet bids will be received at the office of the Board Secretary, and must be . submitted through Padty. Electronic Facsimile Bidding: Electronic facsimile bids will be received at the office of the Board Secretary, and will be sealed and treated as sealed bids, After the deadline for receipt of bids has passed, sealed bids will be opened and announced, and electronic intemet bids will be accessed and announced. All bids will be presented to the Board of Directors of the School Distdct for consider- ation at its meeting to be held at six o'clock p.m. on July 12, 2010, at the Eastview 6/9 School, Norwalk Community School Distdct, 1600 North Avenue, Norwalk, Iowa, at which time the Bonds will be sold to the best bidder for cash. The orincipal amount of the Bonds issued will not exceed $2,200,000. Any such increase or reduction will be made in multiples of $5,000. Bidders must specify election to have any maturity issued as a term bond and the mandatory sinking fund schedule The dght is reserved to the School District to call and redeem all of the Bonds maturing in each of the years 2025 to 2030. inclusive, in whole or from time to time in part, in one or more units of $5,000, upon terms of par and accrued interest on May 1, 2024, or on any date thereafter prior to maturity and within a maturity by lot. Bidders must specify a price of not less than $2,200,000 (100%), plus accrued interest The legal opinion of Dorsey & Whitney LLP, Attorneys, Des Moines, Iowa, will be furnished by the School District. A good faith deposit of $22,000 is required and may be forfeited to the School District in the event the successful bidder fails or refuses to take and pay for the Bonds. The School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in any bid. The Bonds are being issued pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 296 of the Code of Iowa and will constitute general obligations of the School District, payable from taxes levied upon all the taxable property in the School District without limitation as to rate. Bidders should be aware that the official terms of offering to be published in the Official Statement for the Bonds contain additional bidding terms and information relative to the Bonds.
