The State Hershey Track Meet was held Saturda
June 12, at the Marshalltown High School Track. An as-
tounding total of 41 state qualifiers represented Norwalk
at the event. Norwalk's number of state qualifiers was
top five in the state and Norwalk even crowned a state
champion in the girls 9-10 year old 4x100 relay. We ap-
preciate the parents for helping us get your child to the
state meet. After a little rain (downpour), the event was
a great success.
Participants qualified through the local Norwalk
meets held at the end of the school year. Those meets
were held, in conjunction, by Norwalk Parks and Rec
staff and the Norwalk School District P.E. instructors;
especially Charity Campbell and Justin Weise. We also
appreciate the meet workers who volunteered their time.
