Registration: Late Registrations ends Monday, June 28 for $69. Foundations of Future Energy- Camp "B" (totally dif- ferent programming from Camp "A"). This future energies camp version "B" will focus on: advanced electricity-how is it generated now and op- tions for the future; Electromagnetism-its role in cur- rent electricity processes and options for the future; The Electromagnetic Wave Spectrum-the entire energy spec- trum, including the visible portion and options for the future; Heat Energy-the current geothermal process, and options for the future. The alternative energy "super power experiments of the future" in this camp are to- tally different than the ones in camp version "A." There are four wonderful hands-on make-&-takes for this camp, also different than the one in "A." Week 1: Days: Thursday and Friday; Dates: July 8 and 9; Times: 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. (kids entering 1st-3 'd grade in 2010/11 school year), 1 p.m.-4 p.m. (kids entering 4th-6  grade in 2010/ 11 school year). Week 2: Days: Wednesday and Thurs- day; Datis: August 4 and 5; Times: 9 a.m.-12 p.m. (kids entering lst-3rd grade in 2010/11 school year), 1 p.m.-4 p.m. (kids entering 4-6 th grade in 2010/11 school year). Registration: Late registration for both weeks of camp would then run through Monda June 28 at the $69/ $138 prices. If a child wants to do both camps "A" and "B" over the four-day period, price is $118 (Early) or $138 (Late). Soccer is a great aerobic sport and many children enjoy playing the game because of the constant motion. Shinguards are required to partidpate in this sport. Parks and Rec provide a team shirt. Practices are tentatively scheduled to start the week of August 23 (weather permitting). This is a six-week program includ- ing two weeks of practice and four weeks of games. Volunteer coaches will be needed. Divisions: 1 t & 2 d Grade Boys-4 vs. 4-Play on Monday and Thursday; I st, & 2 d Grade Girls-4 vs. 4-Play on Tuesday and Friday; 3 d & 4 th Grade Coed-8 vs. 8-Play on Monday and Thurs- day; 5 th -7 th Grade Coed-8 vs. 8-Play on Tuesday and Friday; (Game nights are tentative). Registration Dates: Through July 9; Program Begins: August 23 (tenta- tively); Time: 6 p.m.; Location: Norwalk-McAninch Sports Complex; Equipment Needed: Shinguards; Cost: $40 resident/S46 non-resident. KINDERGARTEN SOCCER This program is split for boys and girls entering Kin- dergarten. The children will have fun while learning the fundamentals of soccer. Shinguards are required. There will be one week of practice and five weeks of games. Registration Dates: Through July 9; Days: Mondays or Wednesdays (you choose first choice); Program Begins: August 23 (tentatively); Time: 6 p.m.; Location: Norwalk-McAninch Sports Complex; Equipment Needed: Shinguards; Cost: $25.resident/ $28.75 non-resident. PEE WEE FLAG FOOTBALL This fundamental program is for children entering first and second grade this coming school year. Chil- dren will learn offensive and defensive fundamentals of football. Volunteer coaches for teams will be accepted. Registration Dates: Through Julyg; Program Dates: August 31 to September 30 (Tentatively); Days: Tues- day and Thursday; Time: 3:15 to 4:15 p.m.; Location: Oviatt Elementary School; Equipment Needed: Mouth- piece; Instructors: Dan Beermarm and Jeff Lucas; Cost: $25 resident/S28.75 non-resident; Min/Max: 20/40 par- ticipants. FLAG FOOTBALL Flag football is for children entering third through fifth grades this coming school year. Children will be placed on teams and will play each other.
