Carried unanimously RESOLUTION 14-60 APPROVE REVISED ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OR- DINANCES BE IT RESOLVED THAI, theWarren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap- proves changes to the October 15, 2013, Warren County Iowa, Revised Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances. The amendments are in Chapter 43, Section 43.03 NOTICE IN WRITING. Delete: If the Zoning Administrator shall find that any of the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance are being violated, the Administrator shall notify in writing the person responsible for such violation indicating the nature of the violation andordering the action necessary to correct it. Add: County infrac- tion. Carded unanimously RESOLUTION 14-61E SECOND'AMENDMENT TO DCAT COORDINATION CONTRACT BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap- proves amendment to Contract Number DCAT5-14-12 effective July 1, 2014 between the Iowa Department of Human Services (Agency) and Warren County Board of Supervisors (Contractor). Carded unanimously RESOLUTION 14-61F NEW HIRE SUMMER INTERN INFORMATIONTECH- NOLOGY BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby ap- proves the hire of Blakelish, Summer Intern, for 25 hours per week, at the rate of $10.00 per hour, not eligible for benefits, and for a period not to exceed 6 months, effective May 9, 2014. Carried unanimously RESOLUTION 14-61G ISSUANCE OF OVERSIZE/OVERWEIGHT PERMITS WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is empowered under authority of Section 321E.1 of the Cede of Iowa to issue permits for the movement of machines, vehicles or loads, or combination thereof which exceed the maximum dimen- sions and/or weights specified in Section 321.452 to 321.467 but within the limi- tations of Chapter 321E upon Secondary Roads under their jurisdiction; and, WHEREAS, it is important that such permits be issued by persons familiar with the statutes and regulations relang to such permits and also with the limitations of the County's roadways, read surfaces and structures along the selected or designated routes; now, BE IT RESOLVED that once a current, valid certificate of insurance in the amount of not less than $500,000 is received, and once any and all critical structures have been evaluated (with said evaluations being paid by the individual/com- pany applying for the permit), that the Warren County Engineer and any admin- istrative employees in the Engineer's Department be authorized to issue and sign special permits for the movement of machines, vehicles or loads of exces- sive size and weight upon Warren County Secondary Roads in accordance with said Chapter 321 E. Carded unanimously RESOLUTION 14-61H HIRE ASSISTANT ROAD SUPERINTENDENT BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Super,isors hereby moves to approve the job classification change for Ryan Bowlin to Assistant Road Su- perintendent, with a salary of $2,212.80 biweekly, Grade 16, Step 6, effective May 12, 2014. Carried unanimously RESOLUTION 14-62 MOBILIZING TOMORROW PLAN ;.i WHEREAS, the Federal Interagency Partnership for Sus Communities has selected Greater Des Moines as one of 45 initial region.tpursue regional sustainable development planning; . - WHEREAS, the people of Greater Des Moines wish to strengthen diversity and equity in order to promote the environmental and economic health of the region, this community, its,neighborhoods, and its individuals; WHEREAS, we intend to stay attentive to the needs of future generations and to the current shifting trends in demographics, economics, and nature, as well as expectations of significant regional growth; WHEREAS, we value the integration of social economic, and natural resource needs and opportunities with a strategic direction for the region's future; WHEREAS, local governments, community organizations, and the public devel- oped The Tomorrow Plan as a voluntary, best-practices guide for local jurisdic- tions, stakehotderorganizations and 28-E organizations, including the MPO, but does not dictate specific funding strategies or policy decisions that are within the authority of these organizations or jurisdictions. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervi- sors hereby approves endorsing the vision, mission, goals, strategies, and initia- tives presented in The Tomorrow Plan and intend to continue working within our community and across the region to help this plan become reaiity.
