OFFICE INFORMATION
Pick up registration forms 24 hours a day at the Parks
and Recreation office or print them off our website:
www.ci.norwalk.ia.us. You can mail registration forms,
place them in our drop box or walk in. Our office is
located at 1100 Chatham Ave. (Public Safety Bldg.). Of-
fice hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
The drop box is open 24/7! If you have any questions,
call us at 981-9206. Online registration is available. (See
website: www.ci.norwalk.ia, us).

AMUSEMENT PARK TICKETS
Adventureland Amusement Park tickets are now for
sale for $32 (gate price $40) at our office. Lost Island,
Blank Park Zoo and Worlds of Fun tickets are here too.
BRICKS 4 KIDZ® SUMMER CAMP
Bricks 4 Kidz programs are kid-tested and educator-
approved to deliver valuable learning experiences that
correlate to a variety of cross-disciplinary curriculum
objectives. Using LEGO bricks, your student will build
in teams, Bricks 4 Kidz® models. Kids will get a t-shirt
and a mini figure to take home. This year there is a 20%
sibling discount plus a 10% early enrollment discount.
This program is for ages 6+.

Bricks 4 Kidz® Zoologist Camp
Are you fascinated by the weird but true, wild and
wacky, gross and yucky? This is the camp for you. Spend
the week discovering the zany biology of our animal
friends. Each day we'll explore fascinating facts about
the animal kingdom. Build a different animal model
each day and fill your "Animal Zoologist" booklet with
the crazy and cool facts you learn.
August 5 - 9 (9 a.m. - Noon) Amusement Park R{des
Get your ticket to ride at Bricks 4 Kidz® very own
Amusement Park! Campers will build a new ride each
day, learning how to make things spin, roll, turn and
rock. Motorized models maximize the action and fun.
Each camp day includes games, group challenges,
model-building and more. Registration Dates: Through

NORWALK JUNIOR FIRE SCHOOL
Learn basic firefighter skills to include use of fire
hoses, ladders, hand tools, fire investigation and breath-
ing apparatus training. Basic first aid and ambulance
equipment will also be demonstrated. Fire department
staff will be coordinating this fun program. Registra-

STEP BENCH AEROBICS/INTERVAL
This is a class of high energy aerobic routines inter-
spersed with intense cardio segments and followed by
a recovery period. Class will improve cardio condition-
ing. This class is for any fitness level and can be adjusted
to a low or high impact class depending on the level of
fitness you are. The bench is provided and you may
bring floor mat/towel and hand-held weights to increase
intensity and improve muscle tone. Mary Jane Sharp is

EARLY BIRD BODY SCULPTING
For those of you who get up with the chickens, come
join this early morning class that will work on ultimate
body sculpting, Pilates and Chicometrics. This class is
designed to maximize core strength, firm and tone your
butt, thighs and arms. This class will use dumbbells,
• big exercise balls (your own on designated days) and
dynabands that will put you to the test with added in-
tensity. Bring a mat/towel; hand weights are optional.

BOOTCAMP!
3-2-1 ...GO! Are you ready to really kick your fitness
into high gear? Join Jason Collins for challenging work-
outs that have the ability to push your limits or simply
give you more variety. The intensity is up to you! All
fitness levels are welcome! This class will teach you ba-
sic functional bodyweight movements to include the
squat, push up and much more! These workouts are
designed to optimize the 10 pillars of fitness (Cardio,
Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordina-
tion, Agility, Balance and Accuracy). Your results will
be tracked week to week so you can see your own
progress! Class structure will include warm up, tech-
nique/form practice, workout, finisher and cool down.
You will need to bring the following to class: 5'-1" PVC
pipe (for stretching and teaching tool), one baseball,
jump rope and water/towel. Instructor: Jason Collins.

KETTLEBELLS 101
Come and learn why Kettle Bells are one of the most
versatile weightlifting training tools! You will be trained
on proper form and technique when using this appara-
tus. You will learn various movements such as tradi-
tional Swing, Goblet Squat, One arm Snatches, Clean &
Jerks, Presses, One arm Thrusters and much more. Class
will be composed of warm up, instruction, practice and ,q
short workout. The major emphasis of this class will
focus on technique to ensure safety while training alone;
however, you will not leave without a sweat. For this
class you will need to bring your own Kettle Bell. Pick a
weight you feel you can move fairly well and feel free
to bring more than one if you have it! All you need is a
desire to learn! Workouts will be adjusted appropriate

ZUMBA CLASS
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music
and dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting and
effective workout system. It combines fitness and fun,
using almost every muscle of the body as you Shimm
shake and stomp your way fit. Registration: Through

MUNCHKIN TENNLS LESSONS
Here's a fun and social way to introduce your child
to the game of tennis. This program is designed for
young children ages 4 to 6 years old. Registration Dates:

Session 2:6-6:30 p.m.; Location: Middle School Tennis

BEGINNER TENNIS LESSONS
Tennis lessons will be offered to children who have
completed 1st through 6th grades this past school year.
These lessons are instructional and offer students an

FALL SOCCER 2013
This program is for children entering first through
seventh grades. Soccer is a great aerobic sport and many
children enjoy playing the game because of the constant
motion. Shin guards are required to participate in this
sport. Parks and Rec provides a team shirt. This is a six-
