You can mail registration forms, place them in our drop box, or walk in. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. The drop box is open 24/7. We are now accepting Park Shelter House reservations through, October, and Pool Party reservations for the 2019 season. We are currently accepting applications for the following seasonal positions: Youth Baseball/Softball Umpires, Youth Soccer Referees, Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, Pool Maintenance, Pool Concessions/Admissions, Sports Complex Tournament Crew. Children will learn offensive and defensive fundamentals of football. Parks and Recreation provides a team shirt. This is a six-week program; players will have practices/games twice per week. The number of participants will determine the exact nights, due to limited field space. Volunteer coaches will be needed! Program tentatively begins the week of August 19. Fall Soccer lst — 7th grade ‘ This soccer program is for children entering 1st through 7th grade Fall 2019. Soccer is great aerobic sport and many children enjoy playing the game because of the constant motion. Shin guards are required to participate in this sport. Parks and Recreation provides a team shirt. This is a six-week program including one game and one practice each week. Volunteer coaches will be needed! Program tentatively begins the week of August 19. Fall Soccer Kindergarten This soccer program is split for boys and girls entering Kindergarten Fall 2019. Soccer is great aerobic sport and many children enjoy playing the game because of the constant motion. Kids will have fun while learning the fundamentals of soccer. Shin guards are required to participate in this sport. Parks and Recreation provides a team shirt. This is a six— week program including one game ,andgone practice each week. Volunteer ‘coaches will be needed! Program tentatively begins the week of August 19. Fall Just for Kicks (PreK) This soccer program is for children 4 or years old that have NOT started Kindergarten yet Fall 2019. This is a coed league. Soccer is great aerobic sport and many children enjoy playing the game because of the constant motion. Kids will have fun while learning the fundamentals of soccer. The skills of dribbling, passing, and shooting will be introduced. Shin guards are required to participate in this sport. Parks and Recreation provides a team shirt. This is a six-week program including one week of practices and five weeks of games.Volunteer coaches will be needed! Program tentatively begins the week of August 19. Fall Rounded Minds Soccer — This program is a four week lesson soccer series that teaches your child to speak Spanish while learning soccer skills through fun games, songs, and positive reinforcement. They do not play games. For X, students who just completed Kindergarten through ‘ children ages 3 to 6. Program tentatively begins the week of August 19. . {YEL!} Junior Coding and STEM Video Games Enrichment course {Y EL!} Junior Coding and Video Games with Scratch is for 2nd — 5th graders. Each {Y EL!} Coding class follows four basic components: TEACH IT!....Students learn different video games and storytelling design techniques (movement of blocks, Control blocks, basic animation, adding scores, etc.) CODE lT!....Students use Scratch to code their own story and video games. EXPLORE IT!....Students can write their own story and video game code, experiment with it and test new options. Our collaborative learning environment encourages students to learn from each other.» KEEP IT!....Students keep their stories and video games online with Scratch and can access it and expand upon it at any-time. Sign up today to THINK, LEARN, and PLAY WELL with {Y EL!}. Scratch is an MIT created and monitored, kid-safe web interface. It uses a drag and drop programming interface to teach students of all levels coding practices. Your will receive a Scratch username and password so they can access their projects from any computer at any-time. Program dates are July 15—19. Early Bird Body Sculpting For those of you who get up with the chickens, come join this early morning class that will work on ultimate body sculpting, pilates, and chicometrics. This class is designed to maximize core strength, firm, and tone your butt, thighs, and arms. This class will use dumbbells, big exercise balls (your own on}. designated days) and dynabands that. will put your! to the test with added intensity. Bring a mat/towel, hand weights are optional. Mary Jane Sharp is the instructor. {YEL!} Destination Mars Rocketry Course {Y EL!} Destination Mars: Rocketry Course is for students entering 2nd - 5th grade. Launch and watch your very own rocket speed 300 feet into the air! Then it is yours to take home. Students will make, and take” home multiple rockets of varying difficulty throughout 't‘hi's'sé'ssidn. Wé‘wm fisé‘fhesd rockets9 and airplanes to investigate basic aeronautical concepts including: propulsion, thrust, lift, drag, and more. OPALS — Older People with Active Life Styles Senior Citizen Exercise Everyone ages 55 and older is invited to attenda free exercise program that will include stretching andtoning. We will meet at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church (new location) located at 515 Sunset Drive. Registration is not required. This is a continuous program every Monday and Wednesday from 10-10:30 a.‘m.
