Monday, June 30, neighbors surrounding Warren County Extension began smell- ing the charcoal warming up for Steve Heaberlin's Backyard Cooking Workshop, which allowed 16 Warren County 4-Hers to learn the fine art of grilling and smoking meats and vegetables for their families. Heaberlin, with the sponsorship of Farm Bureau, Fareway Stores, Inc., Hy-Vee and the Indianola Street Department, shared his skills in making delicious lunches, including a rub for their smoked ribs which they then took home to share with their families. Tues.day afternoon, after Heaberlin and his 4-H grillers put the final touches on the ribs, Tosha Brooks, Farm Bureau Office Manager, presented each 4-Her with a Warren County 4-H Master Griller apron. - Growing old is no more than a bad habit which a busy man has not time to fohn. -Andre Maurois David Klodd draws a sample of Edelweiss wine'at his and Heidi's Annelise Winery with guests from Iowa State University.
